There is a very decent selection of English books and a small but nice selection of German books among other. The English collection covers new and classical literature as well as new Theories in climate, biology, gender, history, etc. I saw a Dutch version of a book i desired and asked if they have the English version and they immediately pointed me to the book.

Best selection of English books in Utrecht. There definitely are bigger bookstores close by, but for me, I always end up finding the best English books here. Not to mention how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is. They helped me puck out a few kids' Dutch books for my friends' children, and the books were an absolute hit with the kiddos.

Definitely my favourite bookstore in Utrecht. It's tiny, cosy, and stuffed to the brim with beautiful books. It has a lot of art and history books, but also a lot of (English) fiction - and quite a lot of very beautiful editions of the books. Staff is always super friendly and in for a chat about your favourite books.

Absolutely my favorite book store! Every time I'm going there, I'm impressed by the new books and the amazing collection. It feels like they pursue the mission of making the world a better place by selling inspiring books from every category: children's books, novels, philosophical books, cookbooks, you name it ...

It is a nostalgic, compact little bookshop which has a surprisingly large and qualitatively excellent assortment of books in any genre, from politics, art, philosophy, social sciences, poetry, children's books, great literature, cookery books to even some graphic novels. If you have time, just go and spend some time browsing through their titles, to find a rivetting treasure hidden on some shelf to feed your mind.

Bijleveld is my favorite and go-to bookstore in Utrecht. It is small, it is cosy, and they have a big selection of new and old, English and Dutch books for a good price. The store has a nice flow, the books are shelved in a way that makes sense and makes perusing the titles a pleasant experience. I always find a good read. The people working here are always very friendly and obviously share a passion for books and reading. Please come by for a visit and buy your books at this bookstore!

I recently discovered this lovely little bookstore! It has a lot of options and English as well which was pleasantly surprising! I'll definitely be visiting again soon :)

The first bookstore where I actually stopped to look around because I couldn't choose and I wasn't just searching for a good book among the garbage...

A small bookstore on the edge of Utrecht's city center. Which doesn't sell magazines and generic best-sellers, but does have a nice selection of poetry, and books on art, history and politics.

Great bookshop. Very well stocked. I almost never leave without having discovered and bought a totally surprising book. Often two. Or three. Friendly atmosphere and staff is very helpful. Books in Dutch, French, German and English, both fiction and non-fiction.

I recently used the new COVID era pick up service, and had a lovely experience. I had a specific edition of the book that I wanted, and the staff special ordered it for me at a very reasonable price. Organizing a time to pick up the book was easy, and upon receiving my order I noticed it had been wrapped very nicely. I will certainly be using this service until a time comes when we can freely shop once more.

A very cozy book store that has books that you can find no where else. Very friendly staff to go along with their selection. It's not the biggest book store around, but try it out for something a little different (in a good way)

For a small bookshop, the English selection is phenomenal. I could happily buy every book in here. A rare find.
