Very tasty food, very cosy atmosphere, playground for children.

Very nice and accommodating. Food was delicious, good portions. Staff was super friendly. Will definitely come back again.

I rarely take the time to rate restaurants but here i feel obliged to make an exception. This family run restaurant is a true gem and in my opinion the best restaurant in the Netherlands! The food is exceptional and well tuned with the environment in which you enjoy it, while the service is truly world class. The evening sun falls beautifully onto your table through the lush green fields as you enjoy the best wines with your dinner. Pure perfection.

I'm very stingy with my 5-star reviews but De Eksterhoeve would get 6-stars from me, if that were possible. This was, simply, the best family dining experience I have ever had.

We were met at the door by a pleasant lady who invited us to choose our own seat. We decided to sit outside. My daughter is 6 and was delighted to see a play area there where she could kill time before her yummy pancake arrived.

The gent who served was apologetic that he did not have any English menus. So, he painstakingly translated everything on the menu for us. It really seemed like no trouble to him. He was so patient and welcoming.

We were soon eating the best pancakes of all time. They really were delicious. My only regret is that we have to fly home tomorrow and it will be quite a while before we can return.

I would like to thank the gent who served us for his kindness and patience. You don't come across that every day and I'm very happy to recommend this restaurant to everyone.

To be honest, this was not the best steak I've ever had. That was Kobe beef, prepared by the head chef of a large cruise ship, during a chef's table dinner in 2011.
But this one came very close. Perfectly prepared and with very tasty vegetables on the side.
The other dishes in our family were perfect too, and it was all reasonably priced.
They also have plenty of options for kids, a large terrace, and a pretty good playground.
Did not try the pancakes, but I assume they are good too.

The whole experience (Location, food and service) is 10+

Freundlicher, aufmerksamer und schneller Service . Wir haben die Pfannkuchen gegessen.
Das Essen war sehr lecker.

Unbedingt reservieren, da gut ausgebucht und kurze Öffnungszeiten.

Wat een leuke ontdekking. Verblijvende in de Beekse Bergen gingen we op zoek naar een leuk alternatief om te gaan eten. Fantastisch gegeten. Was wel enorm druk bij aankomst waardoor het wat chaotisch overkwam in de zaal maar dit wende heel snel. Hele vriendelijke bediening en mooie verhouding kwaliteit/kwantiteit! Volgend jaar komen we zeker terug!

Absolute aanrader, wij hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Wat een onwijs goed restaurant. Dikke 10 voor ambiance, bediening en kok.

Wij verbleven bij de Beekse Bergen en wilden graag in de buurt eten. We kwamen bij de Ecksterhoeve terecht en daar hebben we maar liefst twee keer gegeten. Als we weer in de buurt zijn, komen we weer langs. Aanrader voor iedereen die in de buurt is.

Eerste avond genoten van ala carte gerechten. Een malse kalfssuccade en een zeer smaakvolle heilbot. Kinderen hadden keurknakkers en een hamburger, mooi gereserveerd. Deze avond proefde je de gastvrijheid van de hele familie. Meerdere familieleden zijn langs onze tafel gekomen. Aandacht voor de gasten!
De tweede avond wilden we graag de pannekoeken reserveren. Zondagavond bleek reserveren een must en een zeer vol, maar super gezellig restaurant. Pannenkoeken zijn een absolute aanrader en ondanks de drukte snel geholpen.

De afsluiting met een een ware snoepkast maakte het voor onze kinderen helemaal af.
