Park Hartenstein

Fantastic park to walk and/or jogging. There are few Sequoia trees there (worlds tallest type trees) and are impressive!

Public park area beside the Airborne museum. Has some pieces of military hardware (tanks/light artillery) in the area alongside an area set aside for beautiful deer who roam around a fenced off area. Really lovely sight and so peaceful. The park also provides a large open space which can be used for sports and as a meeting place for walkers who are undertaking the annual commemorative walk for the Airborne operation which took place in this location in 1944. It is a great place to meet friends, have a picnic or just enjoy the open space near the larger town of Arnhem or city of Nijmegen (approximately some 20 km to the south).

In Oosterbeek was rond Hartenstein de 76e airborne wandeltocht.
Waarbij de luchtlandings market garden wordt herdacht.
Heb deze herdenkings tocht nu voor de 12e maal gelopen en daar hoort ook een bezoek aan het ereveld bij, een moment van bezinning.

Meelopen met de Aribornmars
Dus niet veel gezien van het park.
Maar de omgeving is geweldig

Fijn we mochten verzamelen voor het defile van de Airborne wandeltocht. Wat een prachtig evenement op een mooie locatie.

Mooie wandelroute ( klompenpad) in Oosterbeek, bij het Airborne oorlogsmuseum. Echt een aanrader!
