Fletcher Hotel-Paleis Stadhouderlijk Hof

The hotel is located in the heart of the historic old town and is easily accessible from its central location. Ample parking is available outside the hotel on the street and in the open marketplace. The view is historically fantastic, and the rooms are unique for lovers of historic inns. This was once the former city palace of the royal family, believed to have been built around the 15th century by the Count of Nassau, as far as my information goes. There is much to see, even within the house. Efforts have been made to preserve the historical structure, resulting in interesting rooms and a romantic atmosphere.

It's a great place to stay. The service was excellent, the rooms were tidy and had a great view. I will definitely come here again for my stay.

The room was very clean, good temperature even though it was very warm that week. Really nice staff and the location allows you to explore the city of Leeuwarden quite easily. Highly recommend!

We stayed in one of their triple rooms. The room was quite big, with one double bed, one single bed, a couch and a table with two chairs. They also have coffee and tea makers in the room. The room and bathroom were neat and clean.
They also have a restaurant and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, but we didn't eat there.
The location is quite nice, there are many nice restaurants, shops and supermarket nearby. It is around 11 min walk from Leeuwarden train station. They also have parking, but we didn't need it.
They have a lift.
Staff is also very nice, we need to print our tickets and they did it for us.
The only thing that can be improved is the time it takes to check-in, I waited for around 15 minutes in the queue. This can probably be solved with having two people at the reception instead of one.

Hotel location was perfect, right in the city center and comfortable walking-distance to attractions, museums, shops, etc. The building was a historic royal residence so it has a special ambience. Room was clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel restaurant/pub has all the meals and drinks you need. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

The only complain is that the beds are to low. That gave me difficulties standing up. Little bit higher beds would be nice.

Location and staff are 5 Star. Room was spacious and comfortable. Carpets are quite stained. Overall the hotel and staff added a lot to our enjoyment of Leeuwarden.

great location, easy to book a day on beforehand and kind staff that can/will assist anytime and everywhere. the rooms are more spacious than I'm used to - I took the comfort with a bad and am. impressed. although it's in the mid of city centre, it's relatively quiet even. no parking at the premises but Zaailand parking is close and affordable.

The place is very beautiful, nicely decorated and well located. Staff is professional and our room was big and had everything. Nice bathroom. If you come with a car be aware that parkimeters work till 21:00

Good value for money. The rooms are clean and the hotel has a beautiful garden to sit at.

We got a reservation from hetlaastsetafelje and it was a good deal. Our mistake was to order the apetizer of the day. In the end we paid for the drinks the sanes as we paid for the whole menu. The 3 courses menu was served outside, in the gardens and it was lovely. The service was correct and the menu was good. The meat and the desert were the best.

Excellent food and staff. Beautiful inside and out. Had a great time here with my Dutch in-laws, husband, mom, sister in law, her boyfriend and their daughter. Great time, very special!
