It was the second time for me at the hotel and I truly enjoyed my stay. The staff is kind and professional, the room nice and clean and the breakfast delicious. Not to mention the postion of the hotel which is located close to the center and to many restaurants and shops. I simply liked everything!

Very good hotel with good cost / quality ratio. In front of the Maas river in old buildings, but still so well renovated and very clean. Staff is also polite and willing to help.

Highly recommended as long as you don't mind stairs. We had the top two rooms in the main building overlooking the river Maas. Great character in the rooms and building. Breakfast is a don't miss. Inexpensive with a great selection of typical Dutch foods. They described it as light but there was so much food we didn't come close to finishing it. Hotel is steps from the river. Easy walking distance to all of the historic sites in the city.

We stayed at Amrath Hotel Biggare Maastricht for 1 night in the last days of February 2023. We stayed in two rooms on the ground floor of the 3rd building in the hotel, which consists of 3 buildings adjacent to each other.

Access
We reached the hotel in about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Brussels airport by car. If the temporary parking area for 2 cars in front of the hotel is empty when you first arrive, you can leave your car for half an hour free of charge and check in. If this area is not empty, you can temporarily enter the paid parking lot behind the hotel to unload your luggage and finish your transactions at the reception. The entrance to the hotel's car park is a bit complicated or we couldn't find it and we turned quite far ahead. If you want to stay in the hotel's car park, the daily fee is about 25 Euros. If you are going to use the hotel's car park, you have to pay the fee and put a number given at the reception in your car. The daily price of the Q-Park Mosae Forum indoor car park, which has an entrance right in front of the hotel, is about 27 euros. We preferred the hotel car park. Even though there is a vehicle entrance in front of the hotel, the pedestrian exit may be from a distant place, as the closed parking lot is very large. Another parking alternative is to buy parking tickets from parking machines by parking nearby on-road paid parking lots. If you are going to park on the road, be sure to buy a ticket. It is checked frequently.

Employees
Staff at the reception for the first welcome and other procedures are friendly and helpful. If you are going to have breakfast, you need to tell it when you check in and choose a time interval for it to be prepared. If the hotel is empty, you can also go early in the elegant breakfast room. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel and we did not regret it. The staff in the breakfast room were also very helpful and friendly.

rooms
The rooms are classically furnished and old, in line with the texture of the city. But the bathroom, the bed is quite new and comfortable. In the last days of February, you can heat the room by using the air conditioner. There is an elevator in the 3rd building.
We stayed on the ground floor as we wanted two rooms next to each other. Since the windows of the ground floor rooms are inside the pedestrian and vehicle traffic, you should pay attention to privacy. You can wake up in the morning with the sound of the garbage truck.

Location
The location of the hotel is far from the crowd of the center, but it is close to the center as a walking distance. As the furthest distance, you can walk to the "Bonnefanten museum" in 25 minutes. Do not miss to visit the market set up in the center on Friday.

Great value for money. We were very pleased with the room and the service. The room was very spacious. Unfortunately, the bed was a little soft for my liking, and we couldn't get the safe to work. Breakfast with venison, egg and bacon was a bit too rich - next time we might just take an egg. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return if there is a vacancy.

Brilliant hotel. Perfect location for a walk to town, quiet and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome with personal table service and choices of egg, meat and cheese.

Very nice and cozy hotel 1 minute away from the nearest bus stop and 5 minutes away from the market square and the Vrijthof square where all the shopping can be made. The hotel staff are very helpful. The hotel is very clean with modernized classic decor and very modern bathrooms with shower. Breakfast is quite abundant. Certainly a place to return to.

Spacious room, clean, fantastic beds, friendly staff, exquisite breakfast and fantastic service made our stay fantastic. Yes, the bedcovers had a few holes in it and should be replaced but overall, nothing to complain about Bigarre. I would definitely come back again if I would go to Maastricht again because the location is also splendid, just 5 min walk to town square.

Quiet, clean, very well situated, super easy parking (the hotel parking or the Public covered parking 100m away), good breakfast, price is worst it.
