Lovely gardens of “landgoed Beeckestijn”. Owned by Natuurmonumenten. Short walk, 2,5km. You can also visit the mansion and have coffee, drinks or a lovely lunch at the “brasserie”.

Prachtig landgoed om te wandelen, we kwamen een hele vriendelijke noswachter tegen die mijn kinderen een kaart gaf met paddelstoelem en zwammen die we konden zoeken, erg leuk!

Schitterend gelegen buiten , waar je lekker door heen kan wandelen. Buitenplaats heeft behalve Franse landschapstuin ook een op Engelse leest geschoeid gedeelte , allemaal ontworpen in of rond 1772. Ook een gave kruidentuin met slangenmuur. In het hoofdgebouw is een museum gevestigd ( nu gesloten) Kan hier uren rondzwerven en iedere keer iets nieuws ontdekken.

Mooi landgoed met veel geschiedenis, mooie gebouwen speciale tuinen en Franse en Engelse tuin stijlen. Toegankelijk voor iedereen, gezinnen, met honden, etc. Restaurant met afhaal opties en zalen te huur.

Mooie omgeving. Vaak wel druk. Dat is jammer. Maar genoeg uitvalsmogelijkheden voor wandelroutes. En andere evenementen.

About IJmuiden
City in the Netherlands

IJmuiden is a port city in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is the main town in the municipality of Velsen which lies mainly to the south-east. Including its large sea locks, it straddles the mouth of the North Sea Canal to Amsterdam. To the south it abuts a large reserve of plant-covered dunes, the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. The city is on the south bank; the north bank is otherwise a steel plant and Velsen-Noord. It is 10 kilometres north northwest of Haarlem which is 18 kilometres due west of Amsterdam. The port is a deepwater port suited to fully laden Panamax ships, and fourth port of the Netherlands. source
