Me and Ellen wanted a small break and a breath of fresh air, so we went to Wijk aan zee. We saw this place, had some fries (which were absolutely delicious). Walked on the beach and on the way back bought some ice cream. The people there are great and make you feel special.
It turned out to be a nice small break, we are planning to go again soon with the parents (sure they will appreciate it) !!!

Dit ijstentje heeft echt zonder enige twijfel, het allerlekkerste ijs wat ik ooit heb gegeten. Niet te zoet, verse ingrediënten, romig zonder vet te smaken en geen waterigheid. Heerlijke stukjes aarbei, cheesecake of caramel, top! We blijven terugkomen. Het maakt zelfs de keuze om maar weer naar Wijk aan Zee te gaan, altijd erg gemakkelijk.

Het ijs is waanzinnig, en de patat is heerlijk in de schil gebakken. Je kunt hier meteen de calorieën eraf wandelen ook op de noordpier.

Hele lekkere verse patat met schil in een gezellige puntzak en zeer smaakvol ijs. Genoeg en fijne zitgelegenheid.

Puntzakken met ambachtelijke friet en heerlijk ambachtelijk ijs. Zeker de moeite waard. Terras met geweldig uitzicht.

About IJmuiden
City in the Netherlands

IJmuiden is a port city in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is the main town in the municipality of Velsen which lies mainly to the south-east. Including its large sea locks, it straddles the mouth of the North Sea Canal to Amsterdam. To the south it abuts a large reserve of plant-covered dunes, the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. The city is on the south bank; the north bank is otherwise a steel plant and Velsen-Noord. It is 10 kilometres north northwest of Haarlem which is 18 kilometres due west of Amsterdam.
