Hotel peaceful phaplu

A wonderful and peaceful place with very friendly and hospitable hosts! I am very glad that I managed to stay at this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the heated mattress in the room, this is the best thing in the mountains for a good sleep and relaxation! There is a hot shower and a clean toilet. I am very grateful for the best, fresh and varied food!! It's great that there is good Wi-Fi Internet access here! You can wash your clothes! This is the best place in Sulukhumbu and the best of all that I have met in the mountains of Nepal while trekking. Every day I am glad that I live here, and the next time I come, I will stay only here, in a wonderful friendly atmosphere!!! And from the bottom of my heart, I wish success to the owner of the Wangyal Hotel and his wonderful family, as well as only good guests in this house!!!

A wonderfull, peacefull place. Vegetables are mostly coming from their garden. The owner is the cook and had worked as cook in Austria. No menu but it's as if you were eating the family meal. And it's good.
The beds are heated what is a strong difference with other places in Phaplu. The owner has a lot of contacts and will do anything that is possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
There is a toproof terrace not equiped for staying but where the view on the valleys allaround is just amazing.
The guesthouse is a little bit aside the center road which contribute to the calm and quiet place.

In my stay at the hotel, I found it to be exceptionally peaceful. The serene atmosphere and tranquil surroundings provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The quiet ambiance made for a relaxing experience, enhancing the overall enjoyment of my stay.

I arrived in Phaplu after a long and bumpy jeep ride. As I walked hazily up towards the hotel I felt a bit sick, but I was immediately welcomed by a warm and friendly face sitting in the garden with his newborn. He called me over, we had some tea, and he offered some remedies for my weakened state. More to it, he put me in a large room with two beds, a private bathroom, and heated blankets. After a delicious meal (he is a very, very good cook) I went to bed and woke up fully rested, ready to embark on the rest of my trip.

A few weeks later I came back from the mountains and stayed here once again. Now the place really felt like a home away. I just walked into the garden, met the family in the kitchen and they cheerfully offered me the same room as last time. I took a few days to enjoy the surroundings and left early two mornings later on a bus. Before leaving, I was given a white silk scarf which I still hold to this day. I'll be happy to come back home when I'm back in Nepal.

Great, friendly hosts, cozy, very clean rooms and a quiet location away from the main road. In addition, wonderful fresh cuisine with herbs and vegetables straight from the garden. We can wholeheartedly recommend it!

I loved everything about this place - people, location, food, room, warm bedsheet, view, wifi, hot water, quietness and peacefulness. And sun room☀ which became my office during a week of my stay. I felt like home and hope to come back one day🙏🏽

Hospitality of the owner, the view of himalayas and the beauty of landscape seen from hotel are spectacular. A recommended place to stay.

I stay 8 nights and enjoy this Peaceful homestay! Ongyel the owner is so helpful, he helped with direction and transport for sightseeing. And the FOOD!! Momo, sherpa potato cackes, coffe, cackes!!!! It is SoSo deliciouse!!! And the location is so perfect, not in town. I did hikking and when came back always relax and Joy!!

We was stay here with girlfriend for one night, we was on the way from Kathmandu to Thamdanda by jeep, very friendly place, the most important thing they have ELECTRIC BLANKET , the family who down this place is so cute and very hospitality, they speak English very well and care about your comfort, nice tasty food was free for us) so we are so happy been there) I promised for owner make review, sorry for delay) editing vlog now and with warm I remember this peaceful place, we was stay there from 31st October to 1st November

“My favorite place on earth“

I actually have no words to describe my stay at the peaceful guesthouse in Phaplu. When I arrived in Phaplu after a 14-hour jeep drive from Kathmandu, the sun was already setting, and it was beginning to get dark. Online, I couldn’t find a place to book, so I checked for guesthouses on Google Maps and found the peaceful guesthouse where I decided to try my luck for a room. When I finally found the place, I saw a friendly face working in a beautiful garden. I asked if there is a room for the next days, and he happily replied with a yes, so I made my way to the entrance of his house and got welcomed into his place.

I don’t know why, but I instantly felt at home at his place. I don’t know if it was the surroundings of the place or just him and his family. The upcoming three days felt like heaven… breakfast in the sun in the middle of his beautiful garden with some amazing food he made for me and the black tea that I got addicted to. Every time, no matter if breakfast, lunch, or dinner, he always asked me what I would like to have to eat, which was so kind of him, but I always replied with “whatever you planned,” so I got to eat some buffalo meat. I enjoyed every minute of my time there.

To the owner of the place, he’s such a nice person. He always checked if I was hungry or anything and always had a can of black tea ready for me after knowing that I loved the black tea. One time I went for a sunset hike at 5 am, he woke up with me and prepared a breakfast and a lunch box just because he wanted me to have something to eat. Honestly, I could write for hours about the place and my time there, but I think you have to stay there yourself to experience the place and its owner, and his stunning garden, which he takes care of very well (he loves gardening and even got some grapes with which he makes his own wine with… try it if he offers you some, but be warned, it’s strong).

He speaks English very well and is a funny guy who I found out worked in Austria for a couple of seasons, so he even knew some German words. Highly recommend staying at his place.

This was definitely not my last time there! Hope to be back soon!!

This is a wonderful place where I recently spent a couple of nights. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, the bathroom very clean and with hot shower 24/7. The owner and his family are very nice and ready to help with anything. I‘ve tried here one of the best dal bhats in Nepal. And try the noodle soup here aswell, amazing!
