The Kali Mandir is one of the most visited and popular monuments of Eastern Nepal that is located at Rangeli Municipality, which is about 22 km east from the Hatkhola bus stand in Biratnagar. Rangeli municipality has a very ancient history and its origin dates back to even more than the city of Biratnagar. This temple is dedicated to a Hindu Goddess, Goddess Kali or Kalika, who is believed to be the incarnation of Goddess Parvati and leader of 10 different Hindu Goddess. Kali mandir has a special significance among the native people because it is said to be the protector of the region against the evil. It is a relatively old temple but the recent renovation and reconstruction has given it a captivating architectural appearance. This recent modification & renovation in the architecture of this temple has added to the number of visitors visiting this pilgrimage.

It is one of nearby famous and frequently visited temple for md.It is placed nearby my home.It has good decoration as artists from different places of India and Nepal have contributed for its decotation and construction.Inside chimney system is available for passing of smokes of agarbattis.Clicking photos is not allowed here.

It is a hindu temple with new looks, new architectural design and new outer management.
The new architectural design had been about 6/7 years ago. This temple has a statue of Goddess "Kaali". The older people in locality says that, "The statue had a tongue made up of Pure Gold in her mouth but later unknown persons concealed it and replaced the golden tongue with Cheaper one tongue !!!

The temple is located at very near the junction of the roads to Biratnagar, Kanepokhari and pathari or Aambari.

Well built Hindu religious temple. The temple is built near the market area with enough place taken into considerations. Hindu devotees worships here regularly but the temple is well decorated on the occasion of Dashain every year with thousands of devotees visiting on that special occasion from nearby places as well.

Kali,also known as Kalika (Sanskrit: कालिका, Kālikā), is a Hindu goddess. Kali is the chief of the Mahavidyas, a group of ten Tantric goddesses who each form a different aspect of the mother goddess Parvati.

A historic landmark and the city-diety of Biratnagar, Kali Mandir is the very symbol of the city. This temple was shifted to its current location from Rangeli, which was the former headquarter of Morang district. It was Renovated to its present appearance in 2001 and can now accommodate hundreds of diety and is exceptionally well maintained ever since. It is crowded beyond its capacity on every Dashain festival, when thousands of people line up to worship goddess Kali and Durga, and also offer animals as sacrifice.

Best place to visit on religious tour. It is situated in the heart of rangeli bazar. The main junction.
