Hill Top Guest House & Restaurant

I stayed here on my return journey from the Everest Region back to Jiri. I was so excited to stay here because the location is cool and because I had caught a glimpse of Pasang's clean and well stocked kitchen where he happened to be churning butter by hand when I stopped in for tea on my way through and thought 'this guy really knows how to cook'. I was not disappointed when I came back to stay. I have eaten Dahl Bhat for four weeks straight, from Jiri to Chhukung and this one was the absolute best. It was plentiful, tasty, and included many fresh veggies, homemade chutney and chili sauce, we got a unique touch with a fried egg on top of our rice which was awesome. Pasang and his wife clearly take pride in their cooking. The price of the meals are comparable to all places in the area (and much cheaper than the Everest Region). The rooms are clean, comfortable and quite large compared to other places I have stayed. I suspect the negative reviews for this place come from people who have driven there on the new road and are not familiar with the rustic style and price of accommodations on trekking routes. Staying here was one of the highlights of my trip, I highly recommend it.

Nice lodge for trekkers at the top of the pass. After the hard climb from ringmo village, this place gives warm welcome. The lodge owner family is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are bit colder. I hope the lodge owners will solve this matter. Nice view can be seen from this lodge

Amazing ambience.

This is very remote place. considering the remote location place is good. you will good rooms in twin occupancy without any heating, but rooms are clean. There is common washroom facilities with western and indian option, but you wont get hot water there. Food is average which is as expected in hills. This is the start point for dudhkunda trek. It is advisable to start trek by morning 8:00 if you are planning to reach sharsarbeni. Sharsarbeni have only one stone hut with stay provision for very limited no of people.

It is the nearest lodge to Dudhkunda Lake, for that we were very happy about the location but as we entered, everything was too expensive. Food was below average, if it was made in my home, I would simply won't even taste. Rooms were average but there was no charging port for devices. Too much disappointed because this place has access to vehicle. Also view was nice from there but could be far better if few trees were removed.

Top notch price but bottom notch food. Worst Daal bhaat experience.

High prices in every item even the place have access to vehicles. The quality of food was the worst. The room has no charging points. Overall I had a bad experience.
