Absolutely serene, this place is extremely clean, well managed and offers next level peace. They dont have a menu and dont serve non-veg dishes and alcohol. Smoking is also not allowed in the premises. Not an option for group of friends looking for a place to hangout and have fun.

They offer wonderful 3 course European Lunch (all vegetarian) cultivated in their own farm. 💯 organic and authentic. Great option to escape from the busy city and enjoy some quality peace.

Our stay at Vishuddhi Alaya exceeded our expectations. A tranquil environment and welcoming, hospitable staff. The food needs a category of its own. Fresh, organic, well-presented and varied. Each element of each meal was outstanding. Their home made gluten free bread was unbelievable. The sauna and massage were a special treat during the rainy days . Thank you Adi and Deepak, for providing a home away from home for us to re-energize after our trek.

Adi is a wonderful host who treated us to the most delicious lunch and dessert. Vishuddhi Alaya is worthy to be included your Nepal itinerary if you’re fond of nature and healthy living. Couldn’t recommend more.

I had an incredible time at Vishuddhi and can't wait to be back. I spent a few days in the tranquil surroundings of the jungle and birds. The rooms are very comfortable with incredible views looking out on the jungle. You can take daily hikes around local villages and up to Namohbuddha. The meals are tasty and fresh from the farm which is amazing. Tea and coffee whenever you feel. Staff are warm and welcoming and you feel right at home. Adi is a great teacher and mentor and I enjoyed the yoga classes every morning in the yoga room looking out onto the farm. The masseuse is highly trained and offers great massages. See you soon :)

Where to start...The surroundings are beautiful, the building is amazing, staff are super nice. Food! FOOD! Omg, they grow their turmeric in their very garden. That says a lot. Every details are thought of, the comfort is maximum. The best gate away to reconect with one self. This place is one of its kind in Nepal. Best ratio price quality ever. Really. Thank you, cant wait to come back!

Have been hearing about this place for sometime and finally got a chance to visit it last weekend.

The place is small yet beautiful. If you are looking to get out, and are looking for something peaceful and quiet- this is the place. The rooms are quite nice and comfortable. The staff were very warm and welcoming and the service was good throughout. They serve vegetarian food only and alcohol is also not allowed. The vegetables are all grown there, are organic so its from the farm to your table. They pluck it in front of you for the day and its all so fresh and good. They have a big yoga room as this place also serves as a retreat for people who want to do some yoga and meditate. The masseuse who comes there is the same as Dwarika Dhulikhel and he is quite good. If you want to hike around you can explore the area. Would highly recommend it and visit again for a quick getaway from Kathmandu.

Adi is one of the best yoga Teachers I know. She follows BKS iyanger lineage. The YOGA, food, location is un-comparable. Europe standard in Nepal, Authentic Yoga.

Simplicity married to loving attention of detail.

When a friend told me that he designed and built a yoga retreat for an expatriate in the Namobudha hills outside Dulikhel I was curious and intrigued.
Embarking on such a risky adventure deserves respect as I am hard to please (being honest) and since I have been carrying my share of disappointments in the local hospitality industry and related businesses.
On one hand, big foreign investments have created copy cat replicas of chain hotels or ideas thereof and you logically pay the price for a decent level of service and of comfort. On the other hand, you have those mainly local businesswomen/men who have good ideas and are somehow inspired and they end up creating something clumsy and poorly managed. That's when my "authenticity tolerance threshold" kicks in and I have peace with kindness, beautiful views and a chilled beer , "snacks" and a clean bed for 15 USD.
The first remarkable discovery about Vishuddhi Alaya is that the place is extremely well run when the owner isn't around to micro-manage. Read: attention to detail in service, neatness and cleanliness. A stroll through the gardens confirms that the philosophy here is to look after everything with the same care that you would give to your newborn.
The yoga space has the standards (the layout, the airiness, the cleanliness and the equipment) of similar high-end outfits in Beverly Hills or in Thailand.
The conceptual design gives you that sense of "wonder" (remember Morgan Freeman in the airlines ad) and admire the sleek lines of concrete and the subdued beauty of earthy colors. When entering my room - in addition to the soothing views of garden and primal forest - I was taken to that fresh, minimal design in Switzerland; thick mattress and bathroom fixtures inclusive. The food did lack fruits (the lemon, tree tomato, strawberries, banana and oranges were not in season) but the homemade preserves, fresh cheese and vegetables, quiches and colourful salads gave me my daily vitamins for sure. It is difficult to describe the heavenly almond butter or the typical Swiss-Austrian-German selection of breads. Just know that here you'll get your fix of moist multigrain pumpernickel, of fresh cornbread and of genuine biscotties.
Vishuddhi Alya is all about peace, serenity and being (or becoming) calm. Content. Appreciative of Beauty - both in nature and in people's imagination to create and to give you a unique experience.
A word of caution: if you look for, or expect a busy-noisy hangout with kids competing with adults' loud laughter and singing, all infused with beer, snacks, drink and meat, then... this place is not for you. Believe me, I loooove my evening beer and a glass of red with my meal but in Vishuddhi Alya I experienced equanimity with coffee, tea, fresh air and being. Just being.

I’m absolutely chuffed to stay in vishuddhi alaya resort. Healthy and scrumptious food. We really like the way they design their room.Staff are friendly and poltie. Overall experience is amazing. Definitely i would like to visit again.
