मोहिनी झरना Mohini Waterfall

Thadokhola Jharana aka Mohini Jharana

It lies exactly opposite to next hill from markhu from where we can observe beautiful & mesmerising view of Kulekhani Dam including green tree hills. It takes approximately 1 hour from kalanki to reach this jharana through private vehicles. Kalanki is a junction point from where we got seperate from the way to markhu and Jharana.

Off road drive with the wide angle view of Indrasarobar, kulekhani dam is the thing that I enjoyed during travel. However , we got bother through dust and ups & downs of vehicle.

The most surprising thing is the destination i.e waterfall. The wow moments starts from the point we observe them far. As we go closer, we more feels wonderful. The healing sound of falling water bestow us inner peace. The tiny spreading droplets of water attracts us more.

Better go with extra clothes because you will not get back with out feeling the sense of waterfalls.

Highly recommended but its name is “MAHABHIR” jharna. Not ‘MOHINI’ jharna. Please boost as much as….

One of the best attractions of Kulekhani...Option to reach the waterfall:
1. you can simply take a boat and do upward hike for 45 Mins.
2. You can walk. Cross the jhunungey pul and walk for 1.5-2 hrs. While returning, you can take the mobile no. of boat service provider and call for the return service. However, this is not full proof. The boat service provider sometimes doesn't pick up the phone. So, don't rely. You have to take back the same route for return journey and it takes around 2 hrs.
3. Take a motorcycle..probably the best option.

I was very disappointed with the tourists visiting this place...people are throwing garbage everywhere...we can see empty beer cans, water bottles, plastic wraps....Please carry these rubbishes along with you and throw it on a proper place..
Locals haven't done much for making this place more beautiful & managed one. I suggest the gaupalika to levy certain charge from the tourist and manage this place....

Mild trek to reach there. You'll find lots of shop for refreshments if needed. The scene is great and it's not that crowded most of the time so you can enjoy as much as you want to.
