Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple

Don't listen to people who tell you that you can reach within 15 mins because it will take at least 30 mins if you walk at a normal pace. The surrounding environment and birds chirping are the best of this place. Visit once you won't be disappointed. It's a nice place for hikers and religious people.

You need to see this cave in conjunction with the Davis falls literally across the road- one descends into the cave and down to the underground river where, if the water is low enough you can see the grotto into which the Davis falls disappear. We had never seen anything like it. Lots of renovation happening as at June 2019 - stairs being expanded down into the caves, lighting ect.

Well its the best well managed temple around this locality.....goods environment but one things is the river which flow out from here is now so dirty that we even cannot use the water in monsoon also ....
But the development progress out in this temple is awesome and so much goods though

Situated at the bank of two holy rivers Chanamati and Manamati and having described in different holy books bhagwat geeta n swasthani , its such a holy place where a part of mata Sati fell over.
As described in holy books when Mata Sati had to devote herself in fire and then Lord Shiva, carrying her dead body roamed here and there with all his madness as it was unbearable to him.
Then in the course of time a part of Sati's body fell over this holy place and so here established Shiva Linga.
The pilgrims coming to visit here has a belief that if their children suffer from different child disorders like cry often with no good cause (runche lagnu) then they bring their children here and bathe them as a belief of getting rid of such disorders.

Confluence among Balkot, Sirutar and Changathali. It is famous place for worshipping lord Shiva.

It's a religious place for Hindu and Buddhist. There are several caves here.
