Los Secretos Guesthouse

I thought this place was great because there are lots of things to do like kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, swimming, and last but not least eating😋. There are also water taxis to take you to the other islands. There are lots of animals to hear and see. The guest house is very roomy clean and has lots of views. The people here are very polite and the French chefs food is very tasty.

Lovely place of lovely (French) owners who make you feel at home immediately. The views are amazing! The dinner is a surprise each night but the cooking is guaranteed great. Also great is the morning jungle walk with Bernardo the gardener/conservationist: lots of sloths to spot, some monkeys, red frogs, birds. Fantastic and highly recommended.

It didn't take us more than a night to already feel home - and this is probably the greatest compliment we can offer!
The guest house is located in one of the most beautiful spots of the Carribean easily accessible by boat taxi for a few dollars and with the most beautiful beaches only a short ride and walk away. The wonderful hosts and their staff (Kiki!) have been absolutely heart-warming, polite and thrilled to make our stay just unforgettable. The area around the property is a conserved piece of jungle with extraordinary plants and animals (humming birds, red frogs, sloths, dolphins...) and with
Bernardino as the perfect guide to discover them all. You'll have lots to see in the whole area and if you try to get bored Xavier, Dorothee and Livia will be right at your side to show you around or lend you their kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, snorkeling sets (for free!) or even challenge you to some table tennis match (you probably won't win ;-)). And finally, there's no way you'll be starving as the
kitchen chef Xavier himself and his family will fill you with the freshest and best cuisine we had in ages!
This wonderful place can only be recommended and our stay there summed up as 10/10. We hope to see you all again one day! (please rather sooner than later!)

Best place to relax!!! The rooms are very comfortable with super comfy beds. With Kayaks, paddles boards and red frog beach a short paddle away you'll have a blast. Xavier is a magician in the kitchen and has plated the most spectacular meals since we've backpacked through the northern regions of Panama. We lucked out and saved the best for last! His garden is beautiful and full of monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and tones of birds. The isla of Los Bastimentos is a great escape. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful paradise.

I'm positive that F. Gracia's 1/5 star rating is because he's either blind and deaf or he's island competition.

A beautiful place to stay! Lovely rooms, jaw dropping balcony view, beautiful common area. Hotel offers kayaks, standup paddle and snorkeling masks for use. Food was excellent & hosts hospitality outstanding. We spent amazing 4 days and would recommend to anyone looking for a spot to relax and enjoy the nature.

Los Secretos is a real gem, tucked away in a tranquil point of Bastimentos Island. The fifteen minute boat journey from Boca Del Toro might as well be to a different galaxy, as you leave the somewhat tacky and grimy town behind you and enter the waterside jungle. You'll see sloths, monkeys, hummingbirds, sloths and a glorious range of critters on the land whilst finding stunning marine life, including dolphins and sting rays amongst the coral-rich backdrop in the water from your kayak or paddle board.

In Los Secretos, Xavier and his wonderful family, supported by his fabulous volunteer crew will make you feel at home...but a home where the food is simply magnificent. The company is warm and friendly, with the conversation flowing in at least three languages. Meanwhile, the animal life inside is equally special with their two dogs Hollin and Baloo keeping the two cats in line. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the views are breathtaking.

I left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and having learnt a lot about the ecosystem within which Los Secretos co-exists. I cannot recommend this little paradise enough.

Peacefull place and very nice family. Exellent for relax but if you want, there is a lot things to do and the red frog beach is only short boat trip away

This place is special. Very relaxing, awesome food cooked by your hosts, plenty of things to do - great atmosphere overall!

Hi hem passat dues nits durant les nostres vacances a Bocas del Toro i ha estat una molt bona experiència. En Xavier i la Doro son uns amfitrions excel·lents. L'ambient d'aquesta Guesthouse és molt familiar i et fan sentir com a casa. Les habitacions són còmodes i el menjar boníssim. També pots passejar pel seu jardí buscant perezosos o agafar els kayaks per anar a donar una volta.

Certainement l'une des plus belle vue du secteur de Isla Colon :)
voyage familial en Février 23, accueil charmant, situation exceptionnelle pour des départs en taxi boat sur multiples lieux paradisiaques, on garde l'oeil vif pour admirer paresseux du jardin, singes, dauphin au ponton :) merci à Xavier et Dorothée pour tout, point fort pour les diners de grande qualité, on s'est régalé ! A très vite, nous reviendrons je l'espère.

Estar en Los Secretos con Xavier, Doro y Lili ha sido sin duda una experiencia inolvidable que ha hecho nuestro viaje a Panamá mucho más especial. Nos hemos sentido como en casa gracias a su cercanía y familiaridad. El lugar es mágico, tiene unas vistas espectaculares a la bahía desde donde si tenéis suerte, podréis ver delfines. La casa esta integrada en la naturaleza y puedes ver mucha fauna local, nosotros tuvimos mucha suerte al ver un oso perezoso muy cerca, red frogs, monos nocturnos y muchas aves. Xavier y Dorothy son muy buenos cocineros, tanto el desayuno como la cena estaba espectaculares. Y que decir de la pequeña Lilly, su encanto nos enamoró desde el primer día :) Nos fuimos de allí con mucha pena y con ganas de volver a visitar esta familia y a sus perritos All in y Baloo, y su gatita Minu. Os echaremos de menos!

La hospitalidad por parte de los propietarios ha sido excelente. Han conseguido hacernos sentir como en casa. Las habitaciones limpias, muy bien equipadas y confortables. El sitio es idílico, rodeado de una flora y fauna espectacular y con unas vistas inmejorables. El desayuno es muy completo y las comidas y las cenas muy ricas y con excelente presentación. De los mejores alojamientos de mi vida, 100% recomendable.

Excellents hôtes fort sympathiques. Ils cuisinent bien, sont accommodants pour les enfants qui ne mangent pas de tout ;). Endroit propre et bien situé à proximité des attractions.

Hace 5 años estuvimos con mi esposa y mi hija, somos de Córdoba Argentina, hemos viajado mucho y no solamente el lugar sino la atención recibida de parte de Xavier y su mamá. A pesar de que no nos gusta ir dos veces al mismo lugar, añoramos poder volver ahí. Mi hija lo recuerda como uno de los mejores lugares. Muchos saludos a todos.

Après avoir sillonné bocas et ses alentours, nous avons posé nos valises 2 jours dans cette super guesthouse à taille humaine avec 6 chambres sur l’île de bastimientos. Un goût de trop peu. Je vous conseil d’y rester 4 nuits pour bien profiter.

Dorothée et Xavier sont des hôtes adorables, drôles, chaleureux, de bon conseil.

La cuisine est vraiment délicieuse, les chambres sont très agréables avec une vue splendide. Le jardin tropical est une pépite, paresseux, singes, grenouilles rouges, ratons laveurs…

Juste en face (10 min en bateau / 5 usd) se trouve la superbe plage de red frog.

Prenez un kayak ou paddle (free) et allez faire du snorkeling a 5 min.

Bref, impossible d’être déçu dans ce petit paradis !

De l'accueil à la nourriture, en passant par la sensation d'exclusivité absolue, des paysages à couper le souffle, la sympathie, la disponibilité et le professionnalisme de Dorothée et Xavier, tout était juste excellent!
Vous êtes bons comme le pain que vous faites, ne changez rien, c'était parfait 😀
