Hotel Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge

We stayed for 3 nights February 2024. Bungalows were clean, cozy and comfortable. Two chaise chairs outside provided a great spot to hang out during the day when the sun was shining. Could swim off if the balcony. Food was good, not great but the breakfast was spectacular and delivered to our room on time daily. Enjoyed the pot of fresh coffee every morning.

Every single staff member went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable.

Spent some time in the Jungle with Alejandro, he even came and got us from our room when the sloth we had been watching came down from the tree.

You have to realize it's an Eco Lodge. No hydro from 8am - 6pm and hot water was not always available but it was an awesome experience. I would go back and would recommend to others.

Beautiful and intimate location. Rained one of the days all day. Should have brought a light sweater, cold in the evening. Next day went snorkeling.

LOVED staying here. Overwater Bungalows were amazing. It's a fraction of the cost to stay overwater anywhere else in the world! Included room service breakfast was wonderful. Very romantic property

Stayed for 4 days in January and it was AMAZING. This is by far one of the coolest places i've stayed at in the almost 30 countries i've traveled to!!

The staff are incredibly warm and helpful. Great English, but willing to let you practice your Spanish too :) I stayed in the jungle treehouse and it was so amazing, waking up to the sounds of waves and birds, and the bonus little sloth who hung out right outside my shower window!

They have kayaks, SUPs, and snorkel gear to rent. The water nearby was a little murky but great for exploring the mangroves. Very isolated feel on Bastimentos... but compared to the Old Bank area nearby (which i found to be sketchy and run down), you feel totally safe here.

And the nature reserve they have is so cool!! I walked it alone every morning and evening with no problems. Added bonus, in late January, I didn't swat a single bug or mosquito... and I was walking barefoot and shirtless through the jungle!!

Don't hesitate if you get the chance. If you love nature and solitude, come stay here 💚

We loved this place. At first I was worried about no power in the day and no ac but we honestly didn't need either. It was cool at night and we were away from the hut each day. The trails are great. We saw several sloths and a few caiman. Close to many reefs. We rented a boat from Sailing Panama in town which I wou
ld recommend to anyone with boat knowledge. Next door is a fishing guide sportfishing adventure. The staff was beyond accommodating. The breakfast was good and you're close enough to town to venture out. Highly recommend.

We stayed in one of the bungalows and loved every bit of it. Breakfast served directly to your room. The jungle path is beautiful. Paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkeling gear available to use whenever you want.

The owner (Argentinian) and all the staff are very helpful and friendly! All the people including the receptionists, cooking personnel, entertaining (Alejandro and Nicolas), cleaning ladies, etc...make us a great stay. We felt so comfortable, food was great also and it feels like eating at home. We will be back for sure!

Rooms are really nice. Breakfast is simple and good, with lots of variety. Tours are great. Lots of snorkeling opps and beautiful beaches to go. Alejandro is actually the only certified tourist guide in Bocas.

Breathtaking, amazing, beautiful and relaxing! The over the water bungalows were exactly as pictured and needed!! Feeding the fish from our living room was an added bonus! Layli and Macarena (sorry if misspelled) were wonderful! They were sweet as can be and very accommodating! The restaurant and staff were excellent! Nico and Alejandro were also top notch as our tour guides for the Zapatia tour! Highly recommended ! My husband and I try not to visit the same place twice as we travel, but I think we just encountered the exception!! Thanks for allowing us into your paradise!!!

Beautiful hotel on top location. Quality food. Only downside is that the bedroom we had is close to the shared space (restaurant, chilling area) which can be noisy in the evening if you’re unlucky (in case people stay there till late)

Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms are very nice and have a beautiful view. There are really nice eco trails nearby, with wildlife (including sloths, caimans,...) right on the property. Breakfast is really good, too. Would certainly come back. Also, they have kayaks and paddle boards available to use.

Points to note:
- this is an ecolodge, so power is available 6-11pm (unless you really need it and ask for it)
- there may be boats nearby who play loud music, but they have left earplugs

Splendid! The owner and all the staff are very helpful! a great system! We felt so comfortable that we immediately extended it. the food is great too!
