I’m not sure why there are so many bad opinions. Really do you think that if your tour guide took you to some special place you will get great price? IT is For tourists, remember that. The women are dressed like that For the tourists not because they do that. But IT works like that everywhere you can feel how IT worked hundreds years ago.
As For the opinions that In Cusco is cheaper? Maybe IT is but what guarantee you have In Cusco that IT is 100% alpaka? You buy IT In local store so you dont have one. Buy In expensive official store than you have the guarantee.
I personally bought a sweater here because I couldnt find In Cusco that color and that size nor In local stores or branded ones.
Overal IT was nice, expect tourist atrraction as IT is one and you will like/love it:)

We really liked it here, you can see and learn how the wool is worked, how things are made, and how everyone lives together in one big family, the children jumping around in between
and you can look at the things in a very relaxed way and even buy them if you want to.
You like to spend money here because you know who gets it.
The commune is in its third generation

El mejor lugar del mundo. 🇵🇪

Cuando ingresé al lugar, las mujeres de esta comunidad nos recibieron muy gratamente. Hacía mucho frío y nos invitaron muña en una taza pequeña.
Después cuando iniciaron la explicación, nos enseñaron cómo lavaban la lana de la alpaca y cómo utilizaban tintes naturales, creando colores increíbles. Además de cómo reconocer una chompa de alpaca. Su mercado es muy colorido y de variados diseños muy lindos.
También quedé sorprendido del maneja de sus idiomas de las señoras, hablado quechua, español e inglés, mi total admiración.
