Safe and vibrant local market with a large variety of fruits and vegetables from regional Peruvian farms. Like most markets in Peru you will find kitchens that serve a variety of delicious lunch food choices throughout the day on the upper mezzanine. There are also great vegetarian options from the ladies who cook in the large metal pots. You will be happy you that ate here.

An excellent place to stock your kitchen. Safe, friendly, and beautiful. There are a few markets next to each other. The largest one has fruits, vegetables, and grains.

Awesome way to see locals shopping and doing their thing in a very normal setting.

Sights and smells are unique. Super reasonable street food. Chicharron for 5S for lunch

3 story market where the bottom floor is vegetables, fruit and other things. Sides of bottom floor is butcher shops where you can get pig, or beef. Back bottom floor has chocolate or nuts. 2nd floor has clothing, hats and kid toys. 3rd floor has amazing juice vendors and some gift shops.

The mercado is in the city center close to the plaza the arms a huge place with three floors.
The first floor is for fruit and vegetables meat and fish. The second floor is all kind of closing and taylors and the third floor is for natural juices.
You can find almost any fruit or vegetable very cheap, the atmosphere is nice everybody is calm and the building is covered with roof.
Next to the market there is a place where you can find cheap food called "menu", that includes two dishes the first one usually is a kind of a soup and the second one is fish or chicken alongside with potatoes or rice.

It's a really nice market if you take it for what it is. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies at really low prices. A few knick knacks when we were there, but this is not the best place for touristy souvenirs. A must see if you want to get a feel of the local life.

This place has just about everything you need. It has restaurants on the 3rd floor (including two vegan), seamstresses, shore repair, sundries, plasticarias, clothing, food grown everywhere in the Valley and the jungle, picked fresh and ripe. You can get herbs, nuts, spices, olives, coca, llipta, mapacho, maple syrup, chicha, cocoa, coconut milk, every kind of bean and grain you can think of, and at least 40 different kinds of potatoes. It's open every day, closes about 4 PM.

An amazing market to visit just for the experience. An incredible mix of colours for the eye, and a chance to experience daily life in Peru. A couple of great shops for Alpaca products on the second floor as well.
