TopView Restaurant and Bar at Newdawn Hotel

The view was the best city view. Great food and service. Worth the visit.

The place offers 360 degrees top view of the metropolis. They offer a variety of drinks and appetizers! They even serve main dishes. Their crews and staffs are accommodating. It is favorable if you are checking in New Dawn Hotel Plus, because it is located 20th floor. Very nice concept.

Really nice night city view, cold wind, so relaxing, and great food and beverage.

Its unique resto since it was on top of the building and it has black leather couch, great comfort and extravagant to chill and drinks, make sure you bring jacket because the area is small so its really cold after few minutes of drinking beverage.

Best to go here during sunset specially during summer when the skies are clear. Food is sumptuous but quality is only average. Serving portions are quite hefty which is good.

A quaint go-to-place at the heart of the City of Golden Friendship. Ample array of food menu, relaxing view at the top of the building and good service. You can bring your kids while the adults having a great time chatting over a glass of spirited drinks.
I personally suggest going here during the off peak of the week since at weekends it's jam pack.
The only downside I observed is thst during lean time service is a bit slack and resto is kind of under staff.

The resto is located on the 20th floor of New Dawn Pension House. It is overlooking to the city. The food is alright and should be expected to be costly with the location and ambience. Its good to chill here at nights, cool air. They have acoustic nights and bar for drinks as well.

Great view and nice vibe, a must visit in CDO. Drinks were good, and they had several local craft beers (from Iligan).

I was expecting the place, especially the outside portion. I think it would only accomodate less than 25 persons. Even the space of the restaurant area is a bit smaller than I was expecting. The food is not bad. Maybe in a scale of 1-10 and 10 is the highest, i’ll give them 8.

Nice location and views, ribs and drinks were very tasty. Nice cool air. Live music was good. Staff ok. Overall pleasant experience.

THE SPACE: Fantastic downtown location, great decor and furniture. It is a bit small and doesn't hold large crowds, but that adds to the coziness of the place. The music is not loud, and the furniture is tasteful. The view, obviously is the main feature of TopView and it is absolutely fantastic. THE SPACE: Five Stars.

THE FOOD: It's average, but for a "restobar" I found it to be surprisingly good. The pizza is the best in town from a restaurant not actually claiming to be "Italian". The sisig, carbonara, and grilled pork belly were average and offered nothing in their tastes that would make them different from other samplings I have had. No complaints. The cocktail menu was a lot of fun. I tried 3 cocktails: The basil cocktail was tasty but lacked any real basil flavor. The Bacon Old Fashioned was way too sweet and lacked any real bacon flavor. However, the dragonfruit rhumbarb cocktail was great and I fully recommend it. THE FOOD: Three Stars.

THE PRICE: It's a good deal for the location and the atmosphere. Most items are in the PHP200-300 range, average for top-shelf eateries in CDO. THE PRICE: Three Stars.

THE SERVICE: When I first went to TopView a year ago, the service was just a complete train wreck, and I wrote extensively on the shortcomings and gave one start. However, upon returning several times, I can say that the service has turned around completely and is perfectly acceptable. THE SERVICE: Four stars.

SUMMARY: TopView Restobar has everything going for it. The best address and view in the city in a fantastic space. There is some perfectly good food considering it is a bar (though getting some more cutting-edge food recipes to match their cocktail efforts would not be an unwelcome development... keep the pizza).
