Balay sa Bikol

Visited for lunch first time. The bicol express was awesome and my wife loved the sinigang. We also had fish fingers which were nice. Kitchen a bit slow but worth the wait. Lovely menu for filipino food. We will be back to try the beef salpicao.

Balay sa Bikol was worth the drive from Legazpi. The restaurant/function hall was very close to Daraga Church and offered a homey, quiet, and laidback atmosphere for your mealtime. The service was good—servers made sure your water was filled, and they listened to our requests (we requested for Bicol Express with extra chilli).

The food was worth the long wait. Don't miss their Tinungtungan na Manok (chicken) because that was the BEST we tried and it came with veggies too. A word of caution on Pork Bicol Express—they use pork fat with little lean meat, so if you're not into that, opt for a chicken version. Also, ask for a less salty option. Their fried rice was good for 4 people, and we tried Tinapa fried rice. Not as yummy as 1st Colonial Grill's, but good for the price point.

Personally excluded the atmosphere shots because a lot of people reviewed for it already. If there's a chance, I will definitely return for Tinungtungan na Manok. SOLID!

Very accommodating staff. Delicious food. You can tour around the "Balay" (house) while you wait your orders to be served. We recommend to visit on a weekday to maximize the experience. Thank you, Balay sa Bikol!

Aside from the delightfully appetizing food they serve, the place is very homey and relaxing. It is also like a mini museum that will tickle your love for history and antiquity.

The food is delicious, our personal favorite is Sotanghon Supreme and Tinutungang manok sa gata. We also order Kusido na Talakitok which is also delicious.

The server is really nice and entertaining, telling story about the history of the house.

The ambiance is also nice

Apart from the beauty of the place, people there are so kind and the food prepared was so delicious. Plus, yung nakaka-amaze yung history ng lugar. ❣ 100/10

It's an ancestral house turned into a restaurant. Nice ambience! This resto serves a wide selection of delicious bicolano dishes and other viand that is reasonably priced. We all liked the 11 dishes we ordered. Service was quick. Not much parking space.

Food and ambiance superb. We ordered Sinigang na hipon, Grilled blue marlin, Bicol express, Tinungtungang manok. Service is also great they are very accomodating.

This place is a must to go in Bicol if you want to taste the very own cuisines of Bicol! Also, the place and ambiance itself makes you feel like you're home. Balay na Bikol really suits its name.
