Interesting experience and love the boardwalk and snorkeling at reef. Cruise was pricey but worth it to take glass boat. Spot rare kingfisher blue bird too in mangrove. Went afternoon during high tide. We were the only guest during new year day very peaceful

- Coming here contributes to the local community of Bojo.
- The tour guide introduced us to all the mangrove species found along the river, and boy there were a lot of them!
- At the end of the river is an estuary where the the rivet meets the sea and it was such a lovely sight!
- We got the chance to bathe in the cold brackish water when we reached the estuary.
Note: Don't forget to apply sunblock! 😁
Happy cruising!

booked a tour and it was fantastic, our family had fun! Their glass boat upgrade is a must have! You'll get to enjoy viewing the coral and fish. They're also pet friendly! They allowed our dog along the glass boat

Important: You don't need to be on a large group to enjoy this beauty. You can come in pair or even fly solo. Just remember to notify the local tourism office at least two days in advance so they can book your reservations.

Walk-ins are allowed but not advisable. You'll be stuck on the wait list until all those who have made their reservations are accommodated.

Though the locals would be kind enough to find you a way to be accommodated (just like they did for us) it would be wise to contact them at least 2 days prior your visit so they can:

- advise if the weather is good
- schedule the window of your trip
- prepare your lunch
- even take you to Hermit's Cove

- additional perks is the welcome presentation they will prepare for you upon your arrival! Not to mention the welcome lei you can keep for souvenir!

Walk-ins don't get you this much perks, as was our case, but the people there are all friendly and accommodating. They even looked for any available fisherman who can accommodate us despite full schedule.

The local fisherman will serve as your guide and boatman for the entire tour. The tour will span for 45 minutes, paddling through the entire river up until you come to the very mouth of the river where it meets with the blue sea.

A picture-perfect beauty comparable to El Nido in Palawan awaits.

The local fisherman are also very friendly and knowledgeable. A tale of a mysterious sea fairy, the history of Bojo River, the importance of eco-tourism, and the enumeration of several species of flora (with their scientific names) are only a sample of knowledge you can get from them.

At the mouth of the river, where the sea and the river meets, you can take a dip and swim into the waters. Beautiful corals abounds the area for you to see.

Guides were trained and well informed. They have genuine concern for the preservation of nature. A few tourists go there as its a rather long drive. I loved my quick some to see the marvelous coral reefs at the end of the river which opened up to the seas. It was really a wow!

Bojo River Cruise is probably one of the activities that you should not miss while you're in Cebu.

The staff and were super friendly and helpful while at the same time, very knowledgeable about the different types of birds and mangroves that you'll see along the way.

At the point where the river and the ocean meet, the water is very clear that you can actually see corals as well as a lot of different kinds of fishes. It's a shame that we missed the time when a school of sardines was spotted there.

Overall, the Bojo River Cruise experience is something that you won't forget any time soon. Plus, you get to help the local community as the activity serves as their livelihood as well.

An educational worthwhile visit. Might be expensive for a tour but it helps the community thrive at the same time protect and showcase the wonders we have in Cebu. Boatmen and tour guides are well trained and you get to learn and have fun on your visit. To get the most out of it including lunch is to book ahead for them to prepare for your visit ( they have package eco tours worth the rate ). Getting the glass bottom boat is definitely worth it for a group tour and have them drop you off to Hermit's cove just a few distance away from the river. A place worth visiting and highly recommended.

An award-winning Eco-tourism destination in the Visayas, this lovely spot offers an appreciation of nature and promotes environmental preservation. The 30++ mins banca ride tours you around the river surrounded by mangroves and palm grasses with a knowledgeable guide throwing facts about the ecosystem. At the river delta, you can swim and be amazed by some sea corals & fishes.

The tour is operated by the local community. It is recommended to book your tour ahead so they can prepare food in advance as the venue is quite far from the town proper. They also have a glass-bottom boat good for bigger group (10-15 persons), great for those who will not swim but still can see the sea corals thru the boat's glass floor.

Banca River cruise - p400/person (as of Mar 2019)
Glass-bottom motor boat - p2500-3500 (max 15 persons)

Best experience so far in Aloguinsan. just have to pay the entrance fee of 20Php and for the amount of more or less 750Php, you can have a tour using their boat.

If you want that authentic, local-run tourist place, Bojo River Cruise is one of the best places to visit in Cebu! The best in local tourism.

Our group arrived around 9 A. M. and get indulged when the local staff served a native Filipino breakfast, baked sweet potato with a local cocoa drink called sikwate. We had a filling lunch at the base of Bojo river's cruise. They serve local foods. For me, the best food was the ampalaya/bitter gourd salad. The guides will teach you how to make poso/hanging-rice. The place is clean and organized, which makes you appreciate the Bojo river's wonderful nature.

Did you know bojo is a Spanish word for trading? All this time. I thought "Bojo" originated from the Bisaya word for hole.
