The place has good hospitality. A relativly short, but realy good experience. If you manage to get a spot where the fireflies are at a low branch the guide can give give it to your hand!😊(I guess this is based on luck)
It is hard to take pictures of the faint lights of the fireflies, so I reccomend not to take pictures, just enjoy the moment.(you will not spend enough time to set up a fully professional camera setup and you will be on a boat)
If you have a rent car, ask the locals anywhere you can see this tour to get a good time to arrive before all the big booked tours!😉(locals selling this tour with their own cars are happy to help you😃)

We loved it!!! My husband and I were the only ones in the boat. It gave our trip a romantic touch ❤ When we arrived, we chose a boat instead of kayak and were told to wait about 20 minutes and we actually waited around 20 min. And the giude was very friendly and sociable, told us various stories about fireflies and encouraged us to share our experiences, he indeed made this trip magical!

Guides are super friendly! Even told us stories about the fireflies, and how you can make a wish with them.

Took my son and my wife just after we landed in Tagbilaran. The staff was well informed and very quick to answer all the questions my question machine of a 6yr old was asking. When my son started to lose interest, our guide quickly sparked his interest again and made him very involved by capturing a number of Fireflys for my son to touch and hold. He loved it!

On a side note, make sure you lather the bug repellant on THICK because if you don't, you'll find yourself the meal for many mosquitoes!

A very enjoyable boat ride (you can choose a motor-propelled boat or a self-propelled kayak). Fireflies are stunning. They congregate for their mating rituals near specific trees where you're taken in a boat. You can sit under the starlight enjoying the fireflies and the night-time sounds of the mangroves. The lapping water, the rhythmic cricket chirps and the fireflies have a very soporific effect. Worth a visit.

Firefly live on single trees. Some sort of mangrove tree. They mingle there and eat. So they go with small boats to visit them. You can also kayak. For the boats, there is a wait time. We had to wait 45mins but it was worth it.

Got here around 5pm, the place is well maintained, especially their toilets. There staff is very friendly and the guides will tell you a lot of facts about fireflies. Highly recommended

Surprisingly rich and delicious food with very fair prices being a resort overlooking the water. Super friendly service and generous portraits. Even though my fish looked like a hungry man TV dinner, it actually was surprisingly delicious. Definitely recommend the burger and the chocolate brownie with ice cream

I had never seen fireflies before so this was a treat. You can choose to go on a boat or by kayak but if you choose the boat there may be a long wait. If you choose the kayak it is a 2 seater and you will have a guide with you. He will guide you to several places on the river to see the fireflies in action. I can't remember the price but it wasn't too expensive oh and you can choose to paddle should you wish but if you do you will get wet so appropriate clothing is advisable. They do provide flip flops and life jackets.

This tour is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you do NOT want to miss. I highly recommend you do the kayaking tour; it's much more rewarding and you feel a lot more connected to your environment.

The tours are by the hour and start at 6:30. Each tour takes a bit less than an hour. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous

If you want pictures though, please make sure you bring a good nighttime camera; the results on my cellphone (Galaxy S7, still a good camera) were atrocious.

This was the highlight of our trip! The staff was so kind! We arrived early and they were very accommodating. You need to have the right type of camera that can take night pictures, but the memory will last a lifetime! This is a must do!!!!!
