Was looking forward to our stay here based on the description of the place online. However, I slowly had my doubts as we were driving our way to the place. The road was really bad...narrow and bumpy. It was overlooking the sea but the water looked muddy and dirty. There were mangroves growing but so sad to see a lot of rubbish trapped in it. People in the area throw their rubbish in the waters. As we approached the gate, we were shocked to see overgrown trees around the dwelling. Completely different to the photos online. The huts were dilapidated and as you enter the bahay kubo, a smell of must greets you. There were spiderwebs on the base of the beds. There were gaps on the floors and walls were insects can enter. The netting walls around dining and cooking area is very old and dirty. I would say there was no maintenance at all since covid struck. They promised exclusivity but there seem to be a local family living in one of the huts. Oh well...just not what we envisioned it would be so we have to drive back to the city. If you're looking for a cabin in the woods (like in the horror movies), this is the place to stay. Also note they actually have a disclaimer that they are not liable to ANY LOSS OF PROPERTY OR ANY FATAL INJURIES WHICH MAY OCCUR IN THE PROPERTY. How crazy is that!!! Think twice before you book people.
The owner was quite easy to communicate though when we asked for refund. Though we sacrificed a portion of our money, it was better than staying in the place for 4 days.
