Bayog National High School was formerly Bayog Community High School and then turned to Bayog Barangay High School. Batas Pambansa Bilang 436 – An Act Converting the Bayog Barangay High School into Bayog National High School was approved on June 10, 1983. It officially started operating during the school year 1968-1969 At the start, classes were held at the Bayog Central Elementary School. In school year 1984-85, classes for first and second years were transferred to the site where the school is now located. Third and fourth year classes remained at the Bayog CES. In the following school year, 1985-1986, all the classes were held at the school site. The school is 38,900 sq. meters of which the 18,900 sq. meters was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Constantino Belza and Mr. and Mrs. Braga and the 20,000 sq. meters was purchased by the PTA. The school is situated at the eastern part of Sibuguey Valley where the famous irrigation system was constructed by the PADAP last 1980. It is situated 18 kilometers away from the national highway, which was being made accessible to land transportation by the SAMICO road.
