Severina's Garden Resort by Cocotel

If you're looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat where you can unwind and connect with nature, I highly recommend this resort. Its idyllic location, welcoming ambiance, peaceful atmosphere, and great accommodations. And this is the reason why we come back to Severina's every summer.
But, if gusto nyo mag videoke or play ng malalakas na sounds and music, I wouldn’t recommend this place since they don’t allow Videoke and loud noises.
Yes! You have to walk to the beach front that’s about 150m from the resort. The beach front is also clean . I guess yung ibang guests kasi hindi sila sa main beach front ng Severina's napunta since bawal ang mga boats sa mismong beach front nila. May nalakagay din silang mga cottages sa beach front.
The staff members were attentive, friendly, and always went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
Will definitely come back to this peaceful and relaxing haven.

We had a nice day tour stay here. Sobrang swerte na nahanap ko tong resort. Mas mura and mas nice ang access sa beach. Yung mga katabing resort, sobrang daming tao and ang daming banka na naka daong unlike dito na malawak yung sand and walang mga nakaharang na bangka.

The place is good enough to have a good time with family and friends. The pool has jets and water fountain which is accessible from the cottage area however the beach can be reached in about a 2 to 3 minute walk. About 1km away, there are convenience stores including a 7-11. The stores sell charcoals and purified tube ice for those with weak stomachs like myself. The resort doesn't have any refrigerators inside the cottages so bring your coolers. Overall, my family had a good time and customer service gets an additional star! I would recommend this place! Attentive and caring staff! **RECOMMENDED**

There is a construction near the seaside. Maybe next year it will be finished but now it ruins the scenery. Pets are allowed. 7/10

I booked online thinking pool was accesible based on their page. When we got to the location they said that pool is not accesible. Also, the cottage they gave us is not a good one.

This place is far from the beach - not kid friendly. Deceiving kasi yung page nila sa Fb makikita mo dun na almost beach front sila pero pagdating mo dun pool lang yung makikita mo. Yung pathway mo pa going to the beach mabato before ka makapunta dun sa beach. Tapos yung beach nila since malayo sila is not well maintained. Puro basura at vendors. May mga nakaparada pang bangka. Hindi ka makakatambay in short. Nagpunta pa kami sa resort na katabi nila para mag picture. Malinis kasi yung beach ng mga katabing resort, well maintained. Makaka relax talaga yung mga guest. Malayo kasi sila sa beach kaya siguro hindi na nila naasikaso yung beach front nila. Though may pool naman kaso madumi din. Hindi na rin nila na maintained. Ramdam mo yung chlorine sa balat mo pag nag swimming ka. Kung sa cleanliness naman ng resort so-so lang. Mapuno naman siya and naglilinis naman yung mga caretaker. And also sa mga kagatin ng lamok make sure na magdala kayo ng mosquito repellant kung ayaw niyo papakin kayo pag gabi na. Rooms naman nothing special. Hindi naman kasi hotel yung binook namin kaya hindi na din ako nag expect. Siguro ang okay lang dito sa resort na to is pwede ka mag bring ng food and drinks saka malapit sila highway. Dika maliligaw kapag naka waze ka.

First time to go sa Laiya and like my previous experiences with other beaches sa Batangas eh maeenjoy namen ang dagat like sa Calatagan and Lobo but dito hindi.
The resort's post sa FB is very deceiving.

1. Ang layo ng rooms sa dagat - cguro around 300-400m. Inshort hindi beach front. Yung dadaanan mo from room to beach is not a flat surface, madumi siya at parang may mga tambak na basura.

2. Beach- madumi ung tapat nila na part maybe because hindi nila nililinis unlike sa mga katabing resort. May mga bangka so hindi ka makakapgswimming ng maayos lalo na kung may mga kids.

3. Pool - naglalagay ng chlorine sa gabi pero matapang. Ang madumi ang pool mismo, makikita mo na may mga lumot na talaga kasi madulas na siya. More chlorine pero di nagpapalit ng tubig.

4. Rooms - ok lang. Comfortable ang pillows and linens since naka comforter. Pwede magdala ng sariling food and magluto. Malamig ang aircon so makakatulog ka.

5. Staff - eto grabe. like every 20 mins sisitahin kami kasi bawal daw mag videoke. First time ko makapunta sa resort na bawal maingay kasi ayaw daw ng may ari- hahaha akala ko tuloy retreat house napuntahan namen. Very unfair. Lagi kame sinisita samantalang ung ibang guest ung speaker pa na gamit eh pang fiesta samantalang portable lang samen.

Over all experience is hindi kame nakaligo sa dagat, hindi namen na enjoy ung 3 days 2 nights namen knowing na 12.5K ang per night namen.

Good thing madali sila hanapin sa waze. Inshort will not definitely come back and recommend this.
