Durano Eco Farm & Spring Resort

It's fun, perfect for family bonding. They have clear cold spring water and has 7 pool if I'm not mistaken. The 5th pool has 7-8feet deep. Kids and adults love the variety pool selection. Table rent start at P200-250. Cottage is P500. They also have rooms if you want to stay overnight. The Location has rough road, small and slope better if have your own transportation since it's far from the Barangay road or you can walk a few mins and also the long stairs before you enjoy the spring. But it's worth the travel.

One of the must visit places to visit when in Cebu, the water drop down from a waterfall to a pool & it’s cold & refreshing that I literally wanted to stay in the whole day, the only downside to this place is the hygiene of the restrooms so don’t expect anything fancy schmancy!

I love the clear waters. The place though is too crowded during holidays.

Very clean and well maintained

Great if you need time to rest your brain from the hustle of the city. The cold does good in your mind and will definitely energize you. And I advise to go there as early you can, being alone or with someone.

I love this place it has a flowing pool with a river beside on it, the cutest thing is i saw a dog guarding outside our hut.
I would like to add for a proper disposal of garbage and also a life guard.
Over all its a Thumbs up!

I've stayed overnight here twice already and it's really a good place to unwind. They have different pools, tree houses and mini huts. If given a chance, will definitely visit again.

With several pools with flowing spring water, the eco farm is one of my favorite places to visit again and again. I love the verdant emerald surroundings of vibrant foliage. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this place. There are many cottages available. If you some secluded effect you can have cottages surrounded by tress and growing bushes. This is a place to commute with nature. A must visit

In a nutshell:

"It's worth the trip..." This saying/song keeps playing in my head after this wonderful experience at Durano eco park and spring resort in Carmen, north of Cebu.

This is my first time to come here, and I must say, this has a unique setup, quite different from other spring resorts. You could literally spend a day here (or more depending on your mood) as they have rooms / cottages for overnighters.

What's so nice, fun and exciting is that you can actually experience both fresh water, and salt water (I'm referring to the beaches) since Catmon is only a few minutes away by car. We'll, in order to get the best of both worlds, a private vehicle / motorcycle is an absolute must. Anyway, in my trip here, I actually (surprisingly) discovered 2 to 3 more spring resorts. I'll review them separately.

But hey, if you have the budget, you can go to the Cebu safari, which is also a few minutes away from this resort.

Entrance fee is 100 per head, cottage fees are separate. But you can do without it as they allow you to sit/eat/cook/standby/take pix just about anywhere. You can bring your own food of course, so no corkage fees. Staff, owners are easy to talk with either, very cool headed people. If you can haggle, you can just go there and take pix for less than 100, granting you don't get tempted by the cool and crystal clear waters 🤣

How to get there:

You will reach here faster by private vehicle, 4 wheel or 2 wheel. You can still take public transportation of course, but you'll def need a "habal2x" ride from the corner of the main highway.

All this coming from the city, your marker will be Gaisano supermarket (wc will be to your left). Look ahead as there will be a huge overhead sign for "Cebu safari", make a left (before a blue colored public school), and just follow the signage.

The eco farm is just along the way and you'll reach it before Cebu safari. There will be a small signage painted on rocks and it will be to your right. Don't worry as the roads here are well built (cemented or asphalt). You will pass Shemberg manufacturing. Just follow the road, and enjoy the scenic views while you're at it. 😉.

For those who do not want their cars to get sun baked, I advise you to park your vehicle in their garden area, under their mango tree. Perfect shade all day.

Pros:
- exciting for first timers as you descend, you can hear the sound of the rushing waters already.
- do come earlier like before 7 so you can get the best cottage and pool. Coming in after 10 or 11 will mean a lot of people already.
- you can cook do your stuff with no one to warn you.
- they have 8 pools to choose from and all are unique. They have 2 pools specifically for kids.
- you can go overnight (I think for 950 pesos but I could be wrong)
- there are small stores for missed out necessities like ice, shampoo or soap, and just junk foods and drinks.
- there is a huge river beside the resort so that also (the rushing waters sound) is also relaxing and invigorating.
- the water is cold soothing and crystal clear
- surprisingly, there's not much slippery surfaces - maybe due to the water flowing thru limestone, which makes it like an alkaline water (wc is good).
- nice people and staff and everyone is approachable.
- they have a mini garden also
- kids will love this experience as it connects them with nature and pools 😂

Cons:
- No clear signage of where you are
- the place still needs a lot of work in order to make it appealing to outsiders and foreigners
- no clear direction where the restrooms are, or for cleaning up before leaving.
- going up and down the steps will be a pain for some, so make sure to carry Al your stuff in 1 go.
- they should have a mini map, or "you are here" since it's easy to get lost if you're a first timer.

Its so nice place very refreshing sorrounded by trees its like in the forest with flowing cold nature spring water.Its located at Northern Carmen, Cebu.

You also can rent a treehouse up to 8person to sleep at this nice place.

A very nice place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend staying at least one night, the rooms are so comfy, has its own restroom, airconditioned for just a cheap price. Been here twice now and it never fails to amaze me

Place is but remote but the water is worth it. It's super cold and refreshing! Be ready with mosquito repellents (katol) at night though. Million mosquitoes in one cottage.

Oh I loved it very, very much! Very cold spring and clean very nice surroundings. Nice place to have fun and adventure for millennials. A place for any one who likes adventure to the max! :p

Very nice, you can really relax with the calm nature and the spring was great and cold and rent for staying a night is affordable. Great place to relax.!

One of coldest spring water park in Cebu.. roads from Carmen national road is good albeit uphill . The place.is clean and has additional pools for everybody to enjoy

The earlier the better... to enjoy nature trip and cold springs... i think they have 7 cold spring pools as far i could remember... 😉😉😉
