Montemar Beach Club Resort

Montemar is an old membership resort that recently started accepting paid bookings.

It is great for families with kids. Inn 3 is newly renovated although a bit far from the beach. They are a pawikan conservation center and have regular turtle releasing for the kids.

Beach is wide, sand is fine, water is calm with a very gentle slope.

Filipino food (albeit expensive) is great.

We were there on a weekday so it was not too crowded. We enjoyed the ocean view from the room. Food was also great and the staff were courteous and approachable. Commuting was easy as there are lots of tricycles going to that route. Wifi is fast enough and we had an awesome stay at their Deluxe Room. Montemar is still a highly recommended destination for a luxury experience in Bataan.

If you want privacy and peace and quite, this is it.

We had our company outing (staycation) here. The place is great. They have 3 swimming pools, 1 is exclusive for members and the other 2 are open for guests. It's also near the beach. They have standby lifeguards near the beach and the pools. The rooms are clean and organized. They have mini bar each room and toiletries as well as neat towels. It's just unfortunate for us we weren't able to use their team building stuffs outdoor cos it was raining. But overall, I had an awesome experience and this place is recommendable for team building venue on sunny days.

Location is only 2-3 houra away from the Metro. Good food, extensive menu options. The beach has fine sand - good for kids. Huge pool, even bigger grounds. All in all a very pleasant beach and a step up from the usual kinds of beaches available near the city.

Not crowded during off -peak. We enjoyed the facilities--- pool and the beach, safe for the kids. Room where we stayed were good enough to relax with your family. Best of all the food were great. Mind you, it was just a short trip, 3 hours Manila to Bataan (NLEX/SCTEX)

Beautiful beach and pool . Place is quiet and serene. If you're a nature lover and love the beach and need to be relax. This is the right place for you.
Not congested with a lot of people.
Food is great too but a little pricey.
We keep coming back to this place.

The rooms are spacious and comfy. The room we booked has a steam room on the side. The staff are friendly.

We had a company outing at this place in March 2022 and I personally booked a room for my family (4 pax). I paid 8500 for the room and 2500 each for the two extra beds.

Going to this place from Santo Tomas, Batangas took me almost 5 hours through the STAR Toll, SLEX, Skyway and NLEX, Clark (San Fernando is closer).

Be mindful of the speed limits at the STAR Toll going to the Calamba Toll, Skyway and NLEX.

The place is nice specially the beach. It is clean and the sands are fine, though not as while as the sands in Boracay. The swimming area is not so deep and no sea weeds.

It's farther than most resorts in the area including Anvaya, however the beach is worth it. The sand is fine and no pebbles. The shoreline is long enough, the beach deepens gradually so it's safe for the kids and no swimmers. The waves are friendly. Basically everyone has a place. You can either relax and enjoy the scenery or go jet skiing. Its also a pawikan conservation site. The accomodation at dinning Hall are well kept and modern.

Am a member and trying to get a booking is the worst experience of any resort I have been to. You send emails, they don't reply. You call, no one answers.

Update as of November 29, 2022: There's a person named Dhel in their reservation office who is uber responsive to queries and bookings. He is the perfect example of what very good customer service is all about. No excuses, returns calls and best of all, finds solutions to problems. Great to have in any business needing good client service.

I dont usually give a five star rating because there is usually a problem in every place. But Montemar beach club despite of some problems like the internet/wifi connection in the rooms and the long drive are all worth forgiving because of the view and the place and the services they offer.

The beach has a great view, you could say that you almost own the beach because it is never crowded the food are not too pricy for a beach club and the servings are large. If there are enough guests there is a free buffet in the morning and if not every guests get an ala carte breakfast with multiple choices of american or filipino breakfast.

If you have a chance to get a share here, go and get it. For members only (as far as I know) but they do allow companies to do their team building activities here. It's a relatively quick drive from Manila (3 hours) and the drive has many options along the way whether it is through the towns of Pampanga or through the scenic route of SCTEX. Facilities in Montemar are complete and the staff are very nice and accommodating. Food is pretty good but on the expensive side. I've gone here each year for the past 13 years and I'll continue to do it every year.

Beautiful rooms, beautiful pools, beautiful access to the sea!!! I loved this place. And they do conservation work for sea turtles which was a very cool experience. The food was also memorable and delicious!!!!

Home away from home, Montemar is an introvert beach lover’s paradise. Inns and rooms are well-maintained, and over the years have been upgraded. The menu is constantly being changed but there are still some favourites there (crispy pata, sinigang na lechon kawali, and their ever-reliable calamares). Every now and then they’ll have inihaw (grill) nights where you can choose your viand and have it grilled on the spot.

Friendly staff, decent rates and clean rooms. Large open spaces for the kids to play and a nice wide beach. Food is a bit expensive, but good.
