Did not have the chance to stay long but the seafoods in the area is very fresh.

A wonderful excursion as you look up to the image of Christ the Redeemer towering above the beach and redefining the skyline. The whisper of the wind and the rhythmic sound of the waves is but a lullaby to your senses giving you the serenity and peace you deserved from the hussle and buzzle of your monotonic city life. The floating cabana is sizable to accommodate more than 30 at a time and comes with fresh harvest of the sea as food. It's very cheap and very delicious. A must try.

Great experience for friends and family. The place is indeed a hidden paradise. I think local government needs to promote the place more for it is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Mindanao, one of its kinds, and sadly underrated. Me and my friends were traveling towards Dapitan (if I'm not mistaken, I'm not the driver) I think we missed a turn when we came across the shabby and rather old signage about the Sapang Dalaga, hesitantly, we asked locals about the place, some of those people we asked were not even sure about the direction or even the place existence. But since we love adventure we decided to push through and luckily the place did not disappoint. It was magnificent. The over the hill view where the giant statue erected was breathtaking it was as if I was in a different country, you can actually see Siquijor Island. The boat ride towards the U river was a treat itself, it feels like travailing towards a wild and virgin river; the floating cottages are safe and a genius idea. After around 15-20 minutes boat ride, we reached a small village with wonderful locals, there we trekked for about 20 minutes to reach the peak where we saw the surreal U river. If you visit Mindanao, add Sapang Dalaga to your itinerary, you will not be disappointed.
