SM Hypermarket Ormoc

Great place for shopping, daily needs, and other utilities. Also houses children's play areas, places to eat as well as a bank and a pharmacy.

Place is not crowded. Very organized and cozy atmosphere.

A lot bigger than it looks, almost complete with everything you might need. Customer service is very accomodating as well

A mall is a mall - it is the good-natured staff, security guards and ushers that will make a big difference. I hope this kindness would extend and rub-on to the tenants. The ones occupying the center area or lobby are kinda irritating and rough and oftentimes accost people and smack their products in front of you.

Very calm, oriented and professional personnel especially the guards/traffic officers. Clean and orderly place as expected. Amenities available -- children's gaming area provided by Quantum, a variety of fast foods and restos, Smart Telco center, and many others.

Big mall store but has problems with computer system going down and online services is caput so ATM card, credit cards don't work cash after being in line to check out they tell you system down and cash only so they end up reshelving alot

SM hypermarket is located at the heart of Ormoc City. When you arrive by the sea port, you may opt to take a tricycle (a three-wheeled motorcycle, Philippines version of a Tuktuk), or you can opt to take a hike which may be a healthy option for others. If you arrive via airport, there are tricycle waiting outside but it is best if you have someone waiting for youto pick you up. If via land, tricycle will be your option to take you to SM.
This place offers a set of goods not available at Robinsons Supermarket. This I believe is one advantage of SM hypermarket.
They offer wide range of items from Dry goods to meat, to kitchen wear and/or equipment, to wines and various softdrinks, hygiene products, chips and biscuits, export quality products and some imported products, to a few appliances.
The hypermarket also open earlier than the mall itself, and has a separate entrance at 'Real Street'.
You need to bring with you face mask and face shield plus Ormoc Versio 2 QR code, in order to enter the hypermarket or the mall. Physical distancing is being implemented, as well as temperature check and hand sanitization. Remember, if your temperature exceeds the limit, you will be be allowed entry.

I usually pay my bills here at SM becuase it never fails to post my payments! And its very quick and convenient. Thanks SM.
