Best coffee around. Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They arranged pick up and drop off at the airport for no charge. The rooms are cozy and modern with everything you could need. The breakfast that was included with our room was amazing. Definitely will be back again.

One of Dipolog's gem. Hotel is very nice. Interior design is A-one. Hotel staff are very friendly, courteous and accommodating. Food is excellent, love their pizza and pasta and so is their brewed coffee. Will surely be the hotel of choice when we are in Dipolog

The longest breakfast i ever had... in a good way, i had to sit and stare at the place with its hommie ambiance talking to the staff drinking coffee and emmersing myself with the place... and last night we stayed at the backyard coz my husband smokes and we we forget the time not knowing we spend there for almost 3 hrs just talking things wjile enjoying the sound of thier fountain and the view of the garden 😍. Just totally love the place, not to mention the bed, the unlan and habol. Had a very good sleep.❤❤❤

Truly a quaint boutique hotel in Dipolog, one we loved from check in to check out. The staff were so friendly and accommodating with everything.

Good: The rooms are updated and very comfortable. They are a bit on the small side but cozy. I recommend a king if available. The ac units are strong and kept the room cool with ease. Breakfast was better than most hotels I've tried in Dipolog with generous portions and fresh fruit that changed daily. I believe the owners also own a farm. The fruit was on point daily. There is a nice breezeway in the 2nd floor lined with bookshelves and then a balcony with tables and chairs. I hosted some family there one night. It's so comfortable there. The dining area is under an awning with plants next to a well maintained garden. Shout out to the staff again, they were great.

Not good: I couldn't stay longer because they were over booked.

Great place, modern rooms and helpful staff

Nestled along a street bordered by various shops, this serene bed-and-breakfast is situated 3 km away from Dipolog Airport, 8 km from the heart of the city, and 2 km from Dipolog Sunset Boulevard, which runs along the picturesque Sulu Sea. The cozy modern rooms, adorned with handcrafted furniture, feature floor-to-ceiling windows and come equipped with Wi-Fi and minifridges. Additionally, each room has its own private bathroom.

Guests are treated to a choice of traditional or continental breakfast options, served in a charming garden setting. For a more casual dining experience, there's a cafe/restaurant available, complete with a patio for relaxation. Should you require transportation to or from the airport, an airport shuttle service can be arranged for your convenience.

Gwandalan surpassed our expectations. I have been to places and has travelled quite a lot, our family is based in New York City. I would say that this place is not that bad the fact that it is in the province and it does not have a pool which i would say would be the downside but despite that, the vibe of the place is cool. Well, lets start with the transportation service. It was raining so hard that night and we needed to get picked up so we can check-in. They willingly sent a car service as a courtesy so that was superb and the driver was also very nice even if he had to wait for us to find him. As we were entering the gate, a man greeted us and that felt good after getting soaked in the rain. It was also nice of them to allow us to use their semi outdoor dining area for our family meetups and we also brought beer there and we had the area until late. We felt like we were just in the kitchen of our house, but nicier. The rooms are clean. I am very particular about the undersheets and smell of the room, and i have no complaints about that. It was very clean and smelled good. The shower design reminds me of a mini hennan resort bathroom i love the rain shower. To top this all, the owner whom we had the chance to talk to was very pleasant and accommodating. It was really a very pleasant experience for us and again, it surpassed our expectations. Thank you to the management and keep it up.

Nice small quaint hotel need little more parking but nice little getaway

Wonderful, simply wonderful. You will really feel at home as the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. The interior design is lovely. The food, especially the dinner menu (the pastas!), is great. We really enjoyed our stay! Instead of booking at other bigger hotels, try Gwandalan for a personalized, intimate home away from home experience!

Behind an old Filipino-Hispanic façade lies a recently updated bed and breakfast with modern comforts and hospitality that will blow you away!

Cons: "challenging" door lock mechanism, no phone to ring the main reception area, limited parking. That's about it.

Pros: international 4-star hotel level rooms furnished in the traditional Filipiniana style. It's reminiscent of the old ancestral houses in the Philippines BUT with a Samsung air conditioner, Sharp flat screen TV, a well-stocked mini bar, a hot and cold shower, night lights, and ultra fast WiFi. Impeccably clean bedroom / bathroom / toilet. Comfy bathrobe. Plush pillows. Soft towels. Heaps of storage space and an open wardrobe. Toilet exhaust fan (both a rarity and a luxury in the hospitality industry these days - don't ask me why). Good traditional / Filo à la carte brekky. Go for the corned beef! It was a decent portion. The pineapple was sweet and very juicy. EXCELLENT service! We were treated like royalty!

Gwandalan, taken from an Australian aboriginal term, meaning "restful place" is truly what its name denotes.

It has a "homey" atmosphere - a brick two story structure with a garden in the middle and adorned with the owner's personal antique collection. However, rooms are modern, clean, has thoughtful touches like lacquered mini boxes to place your personal grooming stuff, nice bedsheets and thick towels. After all, this place is relatively new. Built in 2019 and sidelined by the pandemic.

Staff are also very warm and attentive to your needs. The plated breakfast that comes with the room is a delicious, power breakfast -- chorizo, bacon, eggs of your choice, garlic rice and coffee.

It's a shame I only stayed here for a night, arriving very late and had to check out early to catch a flight. This place is a 10 minute drive to the airport. They do bring their guests to the airport for free, too.

So the next time you're in Dipolog, consider a stay at Gwandalan House. Rather, consider this place as your pleasant second home in this city!

Wonderful staff, they always incredibly helpful and nice, great rooms, spacious and cosy and always kept clean. Has been my choice of accommodation all the times I've visited the Philippines.

Generally quiet and very interesting decor around the garden area.

In our first hotel, we had a very bad experience and got out of there first thing in the morning. Luckily, there was a room available at Gwandalan House. They accommodated our early check in and even picked us up at the hotel. Design, décor and ambiance deserve a 5 star rating. The bedding was great and comfortable. The bathroom was well designed and very clean. Personal touches can be seen in each area of the room. They cater to the needs of the guests. We love the private garden especially the outdoor kitchen/restaurant. The food is excellent and the ambiance is amazing. All the staff were very friendly and professional. Airport pick-up and drop-off were provided. Overall, an excellent experience and would highly recommend to family and friends!

Stayed in this property for my wedding, the whole place is great. Good for the photo ops, and the staff— they’re so kind. Such a friendly and great environment to stay in. Their breakfast was awesome!! Totally had a great stay! Thank you so much Gwandalan and staff for your hospitality! It’s over and beyond our expectations.

A very nice place to stay. The staff is so helpful and accommodating here. The breakfast is so delicious and it comes with the room. The staff even cut up Ginger root for me because my wife and I weren't feeling well. They keep it very clean too. It's only 10 minute ride from the boardwalk too.
