Another magnificent creation of nature, who would have thought there are blue soils atop the hills. No other special in this place though, just part of our trek.
There is a meal station in this area to take a break before the last segment of the hike which has rocky and steep trail.
Glad to have had great people around that made the journey fun and less exhausting.

The trek towards this place is gruesome, especially in my experience when it rained a lot the night before. The experience here might be divisive, as some may view the muddy terrains and slippery paths as too much of a burden but for me, I enjoyed it a lot. For those who are not fond of long treks, I suggest you explore this place via the highways, not passing through the Marlboro Hills.

Amazing place to visit. Nothing much to offer, but worth the walk.

I suggest you take the tour together with Marlboro Hills.

10 pax for only 2,900php. Ensure to book via accredited agencies from the tourism office.

Always bring your registration receipts from the tourism office to avoid paying for every destinations.

Wear comfy shoes and bring snacks and drinks. Though there are stops which offers them.

Expect muddy trails…and don’t belittle your walking sticks. I really appreciate it after the almost 5 hour hike.

Have fun and be one with nature.

We got the place all to ourselves when we went there in the afternoon.
The area with blue soil is only small but it seems to be spreading. I love the hike going there. It had a Camp John Hay (in baguio) vibe. Very nice ❤💯

But there is a short cut going there. If you just want to visit the blue soil alone It will take a 30mins trek.

Blue Soil Hills, locally known as “Kaman Utek” or "like a brain," stands as a premier attraction in Sagada, Mountain Province. Situated a mere twenty-five minutes' walk from the Sagada Blue Mountain Cabins, it boasts a picturesque landscape framed by towering pine trees and verdant grass. Notably, the area hosts the indigenous pitcher plant, a carnivorous species typically found in rainforests. The hills derive their name from the rich copper content in the soil, which imparts a distinctive blue-green hue. Rainfall intensifies this coloration, as the copper sulfate reacts with the soil. Assuredly safe for tourists, Blue Soil Hills beckon adventurers to explore Sagada's natural wonders.

Picture taking on the mountain side of the sand is restricted. But still have a nice full view of the blue soil on the front. You can also found another blue soil area when walking down malboro hills

Can be trekked directly or from marlboro hill, a surreal place were thru soul composition and natural reaction transforms the soil from regular dirt color to its sandy blue hue. This spectacle is best experience when rain had occurred before hand, as it will wash away the soil uncovering the thru blue hue it has.

Blue Soil is a pleasant hike from Marlboro Hills. It's a great way to reconnect to nature, embraced with trees and breathing fresh air. There's a vendor of vegetable lumpia on the way and I swear it tastes so good. And the halohalo at the Blue Soil too!

A hike that is worth it. You could either choose the gradual or the steep hike. I'm not a real hiker so I took the gradual route going up to the site and then taking the steep route going down. It would save you at least 30min. The view up there is great overlooking the valley of rice terraces. The blue soil looks like fine snow or salt. Locals also calls it "Kaman Utek" which means like a brain. One of many points of interest in Mountain Province, Northern Luzon, Philippines.

Wow how beautiful! We were so lucky to see this so blue as it was raining all night and morning but whilst on our hike up it was only raining a tiny bit, we enjoyed the walk a lot it wasn’t that hard or steep at all, great path way and of course we went with our guide who was just as curious as us about this strange blue soil hill but it was amazing to see! Definitely worth it if you want to explore and go out for a walk
