University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)

I can't say more about this place, it's very beautiful! I love how they essentially embraced nature! One of the most, if not the most beautiful places here in Los Baños, Laguna.

Quiet and tranquil. A great escape from the hustle and bustle outside the university.

UPLB is very spacious and has great atmosphere. Maybe that's alsso the reason why some students dreamt of studying in UPLB. The location is also very convenient because it surrounds alot of establishments ready to cater everyone's needs and wants.

I wasn't expecting that UPLB would look so awesome!

Our eldest was scheduled and assigned here for his UPCAT opportunity (which turned out to be great). It was a bit of a problem at first since we'll be coming from Cavite and we have never stepped on LB grounds yet. It turned out to be a great experience sans the heavy traffic.

We were also able to visit the Coffee Bean branch which was a plus.

We'd love to visit LB again in the future.

The university is so large, it took me a while to circle around the whole UP compound. I was taken aback by how few the buildings were, but then, I should have seen it coming, the university is in a provincial setting, of course there's going to be fewer buildings. Though it is very clean though. No traces of littering from the students or from the bypassers.

Baker Hall has been a resilient "events" place.
Fronting it is the UPLB freedom park.
The track and field area near the Carillon is being refurbished.

Spectacular greens. Magnificent architecture. Historic buildings. World class instructions. Wide open spaces. Fresh air. Cool climate. Affordable food. Great community.

Diverse cuisine selections. Abundant pretty faces. Most of all, super-sized narra trees!

Christmas in Time of COVID

No man-made Christmas tree was in sight this year, but the trees in the campus’ popular park were filled with glimmering balls and lights that keep the holiday spirit in the area alive.

Children were shouting and running, teens in groups were trying to get the perfect selfie angle, and collectively, everyone looked like they’re on a Christmas reunion. You’d think COVID doesn’t exist.

Few days ago, the provincial government reported single-number active cases in LB. There were more people wearing jackets than visitors covered in face masks.

I am currently attending here for my BS degree in Forestry and all I can say is that UPLB will really give a different feeling of home compared to other universities, it's so warm and just loveable, not to mention is the environment, superb 💟💟✨

Best university i’ve ever been in. Although it is quite far and definitely still a “probinsya” it is very conducive to learning. I still come back even after finishing my studies. Such a university city and you have access to everything you need as a student.

University of the Philippines, Los Banos, Laguna is the best and largest science university where there are many foreign students study. The school offers highest standard of learning and all the facilities in all courses are well equipped. Surrounded by Mt. Makiling serves a very nice view of the school, and greenery scenery all over the university, offers fresh and relaxing feeling to study. I love UPLB.

A very nice place to have picnic with family, go biking, walk your fur babies, play ball and a lot more.

So great to be back! There has been a lot of improvements from when I used to stay here. Some buildings need renovation or beautification projects done to avoid further damages.

Great place and views. The culture and the arts of the community is the best!

Good place for outdoor activities

Probably the greenest and healthiest university! UP Los Baños is an autonomous university of the UP System. I often go here on October to attend the Balik Barracks, an event of our UP LB ROTC brods. But whenever I'm in LB for some swimming vacation, I never miss the opportunity to drive here to soak up on the freshness of the sorroundings and get a handfull of fresh milk and bukopie.

The most nature-friendly UP campus. Bring an umbrella if you plan to tour this vast campus as the weather around here is quite unpredictable. The lower part of the campus has enough stuff to keep you busy but if you feel more adventurous, you can go to the upper part where a huge Botanical Garden awaits. Delve even further and you might find yourself in one of Mt. Makiling's mud springs.

While you're at it, try a few of the restaurants and street food just outside the main gate.

UP Los Baños is one of the best schools in Laguna, if you are looking for a prestigious school in Laguna, UPLB is the best choice.
