Big 8 Corporate Hotel

Gives off marco polo feels. Went here for the buffet pero it was a Sunday and they had no buffet. So we opted for an Ala Carte meal. It was so good. Fulfilling kay dagko ug serving. We had shrimp gambas which was a delight. Chewy but not hard and spicy. Beef tenderloin is slight chewy pero lami kaau ang timpla with mashed potato. Surprisingly, the brocolli soup is a show stopper. Lami gyud kaau siya. And the halo halo is king. Dako kaayog serving for its price. Tho naay artificial aftertaste pero lami man gihapon overall. It was a delightful experience. We will be back for their Inato buffet.

The hotel is located along the main thoroughfare of Tagum City. It is primarily intended for business and corporate purposes with function halls. Parking is spacious and they have a lot of amenities and facilities. They offer complimentary buffet breakfast, whereas the restaurant is available for lunch and dinner. There is also a coffee shop within the hotel premises. Outdoor pool, spa, and gym are available and are all situated at the far end of the hotel. The hotel has huge staircase fronting the entrance and a picturesque lobby. Elevator is also available. Security is 24/7. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

a 5-star hotel, indeed. we stayed here for a preparation for an event before. i loved the vibe of the room where we checked in. it's huge and the view from the window is great. they also have pools both for kids and adults. the food? lovely. 100% satisfied.

I didn't expect lots of extras inside the room. It is like big hotels in Davao but in a cheaper price. Worth the money. Thank you.

We all love this place specially my kids. We spent our new year, Jan 1 2022, at their pool. We were the only people during that time. The pool is very well maintained, clean, and just fantastic.

We conducted a large gathering of young adults and really had good experience with this hotel. It has rooms that are clean and properly organized. Air Conditioning is really perfect but needs to improve more on sound proofing. The personnel are so accommodating and really helped me to lessen our expenses during our stay.

Let me start by saying that this hotel is not a 5 star rating like i gave it, i made it a 5 star so it would show up and people look at this review, because everyone looks at the best review but this hotel is below a 1 star if i could make it. When we first entered the hotel we were greeted with nothing but chaos. The person that was helping us was also helping multiple people while the phone was ringing, so we did not get into our room until 30 minutes after arriving. We had the king suite, very expensive in the Hotel 8 standards and we were expecting it to be very nice, we were wrong. There were cracks on the walls and ceiling, the "Jacuzzi" was not a Jacuzzi it had a sign saying it "only has bath tub function, sorry for the inconvenience" and the view that we thought we would get was literally a wall when the curtains were opened. The water pressure was non existent and the toilet barely flushed, also this was room 424. So we requested to move to something better and what we got was only a better view. We then moved to room 625 and this was not great at all. The room was almost exactly the same, bad water pressure out of the facet, toilet flushing power was no where to be, the shower was built in after the bathroom was created and it really shows, and the view was better but the window was broken! Bottom left the window was cracked and if i touched it it would have broken and fallen. The beds were hard as rocks and we had requested another bed because there was three of us and that was basically the floor but with pretty white sheets and a spring underneath. The refrigerator was not even cold, we left a chocolate candy inside and it melted the next day and never froze again during our 4 night stay. But finally after everything that had happened with this, we left donuts out on the table and the next day THERE WERE ANTS that ate it, ANTS!! What kind of "4 star" hotels has an ant problem on the 6th floor! Everything about this place was terrible and nothing was good EXCEPT the food. Breakfast was fantastic with a great variety of selections, but lunch and dinner were poor because of waiting that one has to have because of the short hand of staff. Remember this is not a 5 star hotel, it is a hotel that needs to shut down and not have anyone stay here. Be warned i have told you my experience, i recommend anywhere else but here.

This hotel is the most upscale of its kind in Tagum City, its rooms are well-polished, clean, and elegant, as well as the CRs of each room. It has a swimming pool which guests can enjoy, there's also a gym, and its restaurants are truly of high class, as well as bars for chill on the topmost floor, the 8th floor, which lets its guests enjoy the view of Tagum City. The lobby is as welcoming as what a 5-star hotel can offer, and its function rooms/ballrooms are perfect for meetings, conventions, wedding receptions, proms, debuts, among other events.

My wife and I stayed at the Big8 for 8 nights recently. From the second we arrived until the second we departed we had an excellent time. All staff had an infectious smile and always had a warm friendly greeting, we found all facilities clean and well staffed. 2 members of staff stood out above all others Michael Caya in the restaurant who every morning would greet us as if we were in his home, and Mary Joy Padao at Billy's Lounge such a warm and friendly personality. Thank you at the Big 8 for the welcome.
