It’s amazing how the Agustinians built this huge church more than 400 years ago. As the first church in Ilocos Norte. Not restored, you enjoy it’s originality. Although the patron is not anymore in the list of saints, it still attracts devotion to its patron saint and admiration towards the missionaries of St. Augustine.

This church witnessed our family receive the sacraments of matrimony, baptism, confirmation, penance and we are blessed to consider this our Church. It has withstood the test of time, violent typhoons and earthquakes and has also undergone renovations through the years but the its sacredness and beauty remain. We always make a point to hear mass here while in San Nicolas.

I was able to take a photo of this church from the outside. It's beautiful and Im sure it's as beautiful inside. Hopefully next time I would have the chance to go in.
