The gateway to Biliran Province and the only entry via land to the province. This bridge connects the islands of Leyte and Biliran.

Completed around 1975, this bridge is about 150 meters long and its central span, held in place by an arched steel structure, hovers above a short and narrow channel of water measuring about 40 meters wide at low tide.

I must say, this bridge is iconic. And this is the only route that connects motorists of Biliran to the rest of the world.

People come here on weekdays or holidays to take pictures of it. The solid red orange color adds that extra oomph especially when viewed at an angle from a distance.

When we were there, we saw construction and scaffoldings on one lane. I think there is a plan to make this bridge into four lanes after seeing support extensions build up. And this is good news.

a bridge that serve as a link between the island and provinces of Biliran and Leyte. it was constructed during the Marcos presidency and was completed year 1975.
twice ko na din napuntahan yong ilalim ng bridge. the first one was when i was 2 months pregnant for my eldest child and the second one, 6 months old for my 2nd child. mahangin sa baba. pero ingat lang kasi mabato siya.
