Cheka Cafe

They serve the very best homemade ice cream and cookies in town! You are actually served by the owners and they are very warm and welcoming. Sharing some photos from when I took our students to Cheka Cafe as their treat for being honor students of Metro Dipolog Baptist Academy.

A small cafe serving boutique home made ice cream and cookies. I first experienced Cheka's delights at the City Center mall where I became an instant fan after eating an oatmeal raisin cookie. I had to have more so purchased a half dozen and a solo serving of ice cream. We found the main location here in Gulayon and were extremely pleased. The cafe itself is off the road and has a nice relaxed ambiance. The staff, including the owners who also make the ice cream and cookies, were so friendly and answered every question we had. It was a great experience. We had more ice cream and I purchased cookies to bring back to my friends and family.

The ice cream is a gelato type style with a thick creamy and somewhat chewy consistency. It's not too sweet which I really like. The cookies have a bit of a crunchy exterior and a chewy middle which I love. I had all their basic flavors and think the oatmeal raisin and matcha are stand outs. I mentioned the matcha has a real matcha flavor that blended so well with the cookie and they told me it's real matcha. I can confirm it's real good. These cookies rival anything I get in my country. Legit.

Do yourself a favor and stop in to enjoy these treats. I don't think there is another place like this in Dipolog.
