There will be a line outside, and it may take 20-30 minutes for your order, but it will be well worth the wait. I had the wild boar, the cheese and potatoes, as well as the pear and blue cheese (puff). Added the apple and carrot salad. Everything was very good. Even the fresh lemonade.

One of the best places to try home style polish dumplings! They got a lot of varieties, from fried dumplings to traditional, oven baked with wheat, buckwheat, with yeast. Nice lemonades as drinks, sides such as soups and kimchi are great to balance taste. Watch out for queue as this place is quite popular. Central and quite conveniently placed. Friendly service, even English speaking! This is my 4th time there and I love it each time!

Excellent spot to try Polish dumplings. You have a large variety of traditional flavours as well as experimental ones which as lovely.
We ordered vegan Russian dumplings, second one are black pudding and third were pear and blue cheese.

All of them are very good and filling. I’d recommend to order at least two flavours and have left overs for take away.

Recommended by my friend who lives in Gdansk. First of all, the most important thing you need to know is that the restaurant is popular and crowded. If you do not have a reservation, you are likely to wait in a long queue at the door. While we were waiting in line at the door, a waiter came from inside, took our names and offered to bring drinks such as apple juice or beer while we waited. When it was our turn and we were seated, our order was taken quickly. The staff took good care of me and were friendly. I found the prices very reasonable. pierogi was delicious. The tomato soup was a little different from the taste I'm used to, with carrots and sugar, but it was still delicious. Overall, I left the restaurant very satisfied.

Delicious pierogi, from vegetarian to meat lots of options to choose from. Boiled, oven baked, and even deep fried verities. This place is known for good food and amount of customers reflects that. Prices are fair to the quality and service. The restaurant is located a few minutes from the main market street. Highly recommend it for good dining.

Best place to eat Pierogi when visiting Gdansk! There are a lot of options on the menu, so it was a real discovery for me coming from the UK. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to discover all sorts of Polish dumplings.

Mandu offers a fantastic selection of local pierogi, featuring both giant oven-baked and fried varieties. Despite its touristy vibe, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The pierogi are exceptional and a must-try for anyone visiting the area. It's a great spot to dive into some local flavors and enjoy a well-made traditional dish.

Amazing experience. My colleagues, who are all local to Gdańsk suggested I visit Mandu and it did not disappoint. The choice of different dumplings was almost too much and the hardest part was choosing which ones to take. I personally took the baked “Dumplings of the Month” and my mother had some deep fried dumplings which looked equally amazing. The lemonade was refreshing and the perfect compliment to the meal. No room for desert but there was also plenty of options there too. I recommend making a reservation as it gets busy very quickly.

You have to visit this place!!! Yes, you have to wait sometimes in long queue, but it's absolutely worth it. Staff so friendly, atmosphere great and the food... if I say delicious, amazing that is still understatement. They have gluten free option which was great.
Go there and you won't regret it.

This place is kinda famous on social media. Imo it's worth the fame. Location is great. You can basically walk to anywhere in the old city. I've ordered 3 courses so the price went higher than average. Love the deep fried dumplings and chocolate cake! Sitting there besides the window in a sunny afternoon was just so cozy.

It was a fantastic experience!

The choice is so huge that it’s really hard to choose, everything seems delicious. We had traditional dumplings with wild boar meat & mushroom sauce, fried ones with pork, kimchi, ginger, leek etc (gyoza style) & bigger ones sourdough with pear & blue cheese. On top of that we had apple pie which is a definite must too.

Service is great, very attentive, friendly and fast too. English is spoken.

An absolute must visit place once in Gdańsk.

This is one of the best dumplings I’ve tried. You don’t need a reservation, you can walk in. The staff were really nice & accommodating. The fried dumplings with kimchi on the side were delicious. I only wish they had a spicier sauce to go with it.
Nonetheless, I was happy with the food and lemonades.

The place might not be the coziest ever, but it has really nice pierogi!! We tried the baked ones with chicken/cheese/jalapenos (very good!) and the boiled ones with wild boar and mushroom sauce (omg so good, that sauce was everything!). We also got a couple of soups as starters which were okay but nothing amazing, just keep some space to try the sweet pierogi instead, which I wish I had tried :')

Really good pierogies, both traditional and around the world inspired! Got the cabbage with braised mushrooms with fried bacon on the side, and the spicy chorizo and truffle - highly recommend both! Staff were lovely and welcoming! Gets very busy so recommend getting in early before the lunch rush!

3 days in gdanks, 2 times i went to Pierogarnia Mandu.

They take care of details incredible good, the best pierogi i have ever eaten.

All waiters do speak english.

Good prices and quality sincerely spectacular. I will return for sure :)

Soups are super tasty.

Traditional polish restaurant at its best example. The dumplings are handmade to order and taste amazing!! We had the Wildboar ones with the creamy potato and bacon soup for starter. Seriously recommended, and would 100% come again. Also very cheap. 112PLN the bill came to with a drink each.

Went there for my first meal in Gdańsk and it blew me away.

Me and my friends tried the
1. By champions - Rak nieborak (boiled dumplings with crayfish, bacon, cream, onions, white wine, dill and barley) - 38pln
2. Sweet - Chocolate dumplings with raspberry and white chocolate (34.5pln)
3. Traditional - potatoes, spicy chorizo, mascarpone and truffle paste (37.5pln)

Our favourites were the first two! Dumplings are made fresh, very moist and juicy on the inside. And a nice springy outside.

I like that the dumpling fillings give different textures and so each bite is special.

Best pierogi I've tried and I've had my fair share of pierogi in major Polish cities. We were curious about this place given it has over 12,000 reviews. It is a bit pricier than other places and a bit of a wait but the pierogi is freshly made and not dry like a lot of the pierogi I've had. When we were there around 7:30pm on Friday night, there were heaps of takeaway orders coming through and the wait for the food was about 25 minutes but we were informed beforehand. The wait staff are kind and attentive— they would not sit you near strangers. Beautiful ambience. We had the traditional pierogi with beef and bacon with compote. Highly recommend the tomato zupy as well.

A very popular pierogarnia among both locals and tourists.
The varieties are not so classic, but innovative and some are even more extravagant.
Surprisingly, they aren't served with sour cream (it's also not an option in the sauce selection).
But the food is really fresh and delicious.
You can see the women kneading and preparing them fresh. The decor is modern and bright. The staff is also nice. There was a misunderstanding when ordering, which meant we got something we didn't want, and the restaurant took responsibility for it.
However: there is a queue to be expected, as this is already pointed out on the menu (about 30 minutes waiting time). You can order drinks outside while waiting. Unfortunately, this queue also arises because the tables are not seated efficiently, but rather first come first serve. Therefore, pairs of two are regularly seated at tables for 5-6 people, and not even another couple on the other edge... but that was our experience in all restaurants in Gdansk. Unfortunately, this makes the line created a bit artificial.
