Working medieval port crane. It is also the only surviving twin-tower gate in Gdansk. Apart from loading functions, it was also used to serve as a city gate. The crane was working until the middle of the 19th century. After the war it was rebuilt and donated to the National Maritime Museum. #letsguide, #poland, #gdansk, #visitgdansk, #oldtown, #river, #motława, #motlawariver, #waterfront, #greatviews, #crane, #medievalarchitecture, #touristattraction, #landmark, #museum, #tower, #gate, #nationalmaritimemuseum

This is a great little restaurant on the sidewalk in Old Town next to the harbor mouth with a great view. Good is delicious. Try the dumplings and warm spice beer.

Go to the museum next door and get a ticket for £2 to see the inside of the crane. Worth a visit to see, whilst in Gdansk.
