Very well executed museum.
I came away very moved by the film showing. It told the story of a woman saying goodbye to her mother and how a German soldier had whipped her face and hands because he was angry. Something I will never forget.

Super interesting place to explore in an interactive way: you can open drawers and furnitures to find old photos with a story of the subjects on the back. A truly worthwhile experience!

This small pharmacy witnessed some of the worst atrocities in human history. It's incredibly brave for the pharmacy staff to secretly support the relocated Jews.

The window projections and files in the medicine cabinets portray what people endured during the German occupation. Another must-visit if you are in Krakow.

I'm adding the "Krakow ghetto pharmacy" book written by the pharmacist himself to my reading list this year.

Free entry on Wednesdays. Get your ticket at the small office next door first.

Only 5 rooms, but a sombre and important collection telling the story of the Krakow Jewish ghetto in WW2 thought the eyes of a Jewish owned pharmacy that found itself in the heart of the area chosen by the Nazis for the ghetto. Keep looking around, films show up in windows, artifacts hang from the ceiling and mostly open all of the drawers of the old shop fittings to find the stories inside. Much better for an understanding of the Jewish experience than the nearby Schindler factory.

First go to "Kassa" (ticket office) where you get your tickets and also buy some souvenirs. Then there is another door where the permanent exhibition is displayed. Relatively small but it's interesting for the people who like history and medicine. It's interactive so feel free to open the drawers.

Pro tip: On Thursdays, the entrance is free of charge but you should book it beforehand

Great place, but you have to make your research and read about it before you go there unless you plan to hire a guide.

Nice visit. Very good to undertsand life in thd gettho and very interactuve exposision it only costs about three to four euros and lets you ecperiment with the different objects of the poland-occupied era in the 1930's and 1940's. What I liked the most is the kindness of the staff, pointing out the different activities and giving us a paper souvenir. We left our signature in the book of visits.

Very interesting and educational visit to a must see historical location in Krakow. It’s nice to know Poland values the history of this location and maintains this for future generations to learn from. A must see

Honestly, I never heard of the kind man. It is located in the ghetto. He helped hundreds of Jews like Mr Shindler and others who are mentioned in a board opposite the pharmacy. There is a square with commemorative chairs to represent the Jews that had been killed there. This museum is the actual pharmacy that he used to help and hide people. Very interesting and very well kept.

Quite a small museum but full of information. Set up as a pharmacy, the cupboards and drawers all contain extensive history on various topics such as welfare, free time or food. If it was any busier, it might be hard to properly read the material though.

The Eagle Pharmacy is dedicated to Tadeusz Pankiewicz, a pharmacist and the only Pole with rights to permanently stay in the closed Jewish ghetto district operating the only pharmacy in the area. It is a meeting place for intellectuals, artists and scientists and Pankiewicz and his assistants helped provide food, information and products including hair dye and lipsticks to enable Jews to look younger and healthier to get into the “Good” line.

This museum is a fascinating place. It is set up like the old apothecary and has many personal records from people living in the Jewish Ghetto. From photographs, to oral history recordings, to personal diaries, this place offers a detailed insight into what life was like in the ghetto. The museum admission is not too expensive, especially considering the amount of information that the museum holds. The layout is very interactive, encouraging visitors to look through drawers, answer telephobes, and flip through old newspapers.
