Strictly delicious. Small and cosy. Traditional Polish zapiekanka, house made from fresh ingredients. Lots of mushrooms, lots of cheese plus classic additions. Good price. Absolutely loved it. Will come back.

My husband having done some research, made a beeline here as he knew it would be good. It has been open since 1980 so it is very well established.
They only serve zapiekanki which are effectively toasted French bread pizzas. You can choose several options for around 10 zlotys each.
I had ham & cheese & my husband had cheese & mushroom. It is traditional to put ketchup on top & this did add to the great flavours.
There is one tiny table & a counter so around 4 people can physically eat in.
They offer freshly squeezed orange or apple juice which was lovely too.

I love this place. Zapiekanki are very famous and popular in Krakow. I prefer the old school one on the smaller piece of bread with basic ingridients (mashrooms and cheese). some people might complay that it's not big but it's perfect bite to grab during the day.

That's the real thing, served the way we ate Zapiekanki as children, not the pop-hipster-pimped-up pseudo-zapiekanki you can get elsewhere Kraków.

Lovely simple food ideal as a snack when sightseeing lady really nice considering she had to put up with us only speaking English

You have to pay only cash, it normal fast food, but you have to eat outside, there is only two chairs for sitting
