Beautiful castle. As for ruins they preserve them perfectly. There are no rooms or exhibitions but it is beautiful in itself. It’s interesting when they hold some kind of tournament. Look for the program of events and come with the whole family. There are place to eat nearby. Cheap and awesome here.

Visited for a historic reconstruction of battle during Deluge and it was awesome. Ruin is in much better state that it used to be in 90's. I would complain a little about food stalls during this event weren't that good. We had great time anyway.

Very nice castle, great nature everywhere around, nice viewpoint. As benefit you and your children can enjoy small hair cows, like in Scotland. Good for taking pictures, for walking and learning about history at all. Short distance near Highway to Airport Krakow.

It’s a nice place to spend some time with the family. The walk to the caster through the forest is very refreshing although not meant for kids carriage or buggy’s. The castle is under repair so you see a lot of scaffolding around but don’t be discouraged by this. It is still an awesome place to visit. Tickets cost 10 PLN for adults and 6 PLN for minors.

Above the village of Rudno, on the Castle Hill, there are the magnificent ruins of Tenczyn Castle, one of the largest in the Jura, which from the Middle Ages to the 17th century was the family nest of the Tęczyński family, powerful and significant almost equally with the king! Interestingly, this once magnificent castle, called Little Wawel, stands on a volcanic cone. Until recently, only parts of residential walls and towers stood here, threatening to collapse and catastrophe. In 2010, even a fragment of the wall collapsed. After this event, security and reconstruction works began, which have been going on for years and allow this beautiful object to be made available to visitors!
Entrance costs 15 złoty

A beautifully preserved castle. If you are a fan of historical places, then this is a must go. Kids will also enjoy it there. There are restrooms and eateries as well. You can also feed the goats.

Zamek Tenczyn in Rudno is nothing short of an ethereal escape to the majestic past of Poland. Nestled amidst emerald greenery, this 14th-century castle ruin is a treasure trove for history buffs, photographers, and nature lovers alike.

What truly sets the experience apart is the incredible guidance provided by the knowledgeable and charismatic guide, “Gołąbek.” His passion and deep understanding of the castle’s history are palpable, and he captivates visitors with riveting tales of knights, nobility, and ancient traditions. Gołąbek's lively narration breathes life into the stone walls and makes the ruins feel like a living, breathing entity. His presence undoubtedly elevates the visit to Zamek Tenczyn to an unforgettable experience.

A fantastic medieval castle remains. Partly restored. Weekend guided tours are available, and there is a nice farmers markey inside the place.

Bring 7zł for parking and 6-10zł for entry per ticket. Road up there is a bit tight, but the grounds and Castle are absolutely magnificant. The views don't disappoint! Great alternative to Wawel.

It's very intact and you can even see Tatry on a good day. Very family friendly and plenty of space for a picnic.

It was a really nice place, I went there by bike and the experience was just amazing. You need to be in good shape to reach it on two wheels. Also the food around is pretty good, after 50km of road a zapiekanky is just amazing

The small winding road would surprise you that you’re going to a mediaeval castle but it was a great place to visit. Highly recommend if you want to see a mediaeval castle.
