Zakąski i wódka

This is a very traditional place to come for a drink and really good bar food. Inside you'll find mostly locals and if you're very lucky you might see the neighbour's dog pop in for a pickled gherkin. Honestly, it does happen!

This is not a swanky tourist-trap bar. It's a bit coarse, it's simple, it's cheap, and most importantly: it is full of Poles, the locals, and it is wonderful! They serve no fancy cocktails here, there's no cool ambient music either. There are no lounging couches and no quiet booths to slip into, but they have a great selection of Polish vodka, and a simple menu consisting of 5, sometimes 6 items, snacks to gnaw on between the vodka shots. When you're here you feel like you're in a neighborhood locals pub... so, as a matter of fact, if you're a tourist don't come in here at all, and spoil a perfectly good thing. Stay away and keep this place from turning into just another tourist trap! Go to the main square instead. Go! Leave!!!

I love this place, it has delicious Polish food and wonderful people serving. The only downsides are that they only accept cash and few beer options.
It feels like home made food, if I had a polish grandma I believe she would cook like this. The place is very inexpensive and the service is amazing, you're always greeted with a smile.

Excellent ambience and cheap chilled vodka

This is a great place to visit if you want to feel the social camp Poland vibe.
Food (I ate tartare) was awesome, as well as lemon vodka :)
I visited it again when I returned to Krakow, and will visit it once more if I'm in Krakow in the future!

Food is amazing, service was on point, prices cheap. Went on a group and everyone was pleased.

This is this kind of places where you have to go for a little while (definitely at night) when you visit Kraków and want to feel local ambiance of Kazimierz district today.
Pani Ania (Mrs Ania) is the beating heart of this place. And as for the customers, you never know what you will find there: drunk desperate outsiders, young people finishing their party evening here or some intellectuals to have a discussion about politics, art or science :-))
It is open until early morning!

For me it is must-go place for every pub crawling in Kraków :) Thes serve some traditional polish food, perfect for drinking vodka :)

Excellent service and staff at the till. Highly recommended for every beer or vodka tester. Come and see what is happening every evening...

The maczanka po krakowsku is very tasty, and worth a visit just for that. No frills bar with a friendly atmosphere.
