This salt mine is an amazing experience. Travel the tunnels and chambers of the Salt mine that is several hundred years old. It also holds the deepest chapel on earth. Amazing tour guides and very knowledgeable. We tasted the walls.

It’s a wonderful place that I recommend to see. It’s interesting to see what things can be made of salt and how people used to work hard to mine salt. It’s wonderful that they have tours in different languages. We reserved a tour in advance and had to reschedule it, it wasn’t easy but they let us do it. Unfortunately our tour guide was talking too much about politics. It’s a lot of walking and lots of stairs but they also have elevators for handicapped. Our group was glad we went.

Fantastic place to spend a few hours, as long as you are up to walking down a total of 800 steps into fabulous caverns cut out of the Salt. There are over 300kms of tunnels we thankfully only went into 3.5kms but this is a must do on your visit

The tour was about two hours plus about half an hour until we exited the mines. The size of the whole mine was the thing that was most impressive for me, there are huge halls and tunnels.
I think it's worth visiting and I enjoyed it.
There are gift shops and a restaurant at the end of the tour. The is also a little break at some point in a hall with mobile reception so you can have a call.
It's worth the money and the time according to me even while most of the time you spend walking through the tunnels.

Can't really put into words how this place has left my mind in apart from if it's not on your bucket list, it should be.
I was just speechless and astounded with my experience from start to finish.
My pictures just do not give this place justice. You need to visit.

Pictures will not do justice of just how beautiful this place is. The whole descent is 800 steps down, with walking in between, when you first walk in your have to do 400 steps on a winding staircase. It is entirely worth it, but please if you struggle with mobility do not attempt this as it is difficult and has a lot of walking. Thankfully, there is a lift at the end but this is cramped and not your conventional lift.

There is access for disabled people but not from where the tour originally starts, there is a lift that will take you down to the chapel level where you can see its beauty, but I’m not sure how much further you can deviate from this lift.

I would highly recommend it but be careful incase your mobility won’t allow this.

Prepare yourself for lots of walking, but so worth it for what you see, we had a lovely tour guide, she was very informative and kept joking with us that "if we didn't keep up and got left behind we were stuck down there forever" it really was amazing to see how it all use to function as a mine and some of the art work made by the miners aswell as the St Kinga Chapel, especially when you come back outside and think about how much is underground and we only saw part of it. Would definitely go again to do another tour.

Great place to visit, a unique peace of history of Poland.
My suggestion is to book a guided tour before you arrive. It saves time, and the trip is more enjoyable.

Some amazing things they did back in the days. Tour is long and interesting. We went in with our 3 month old son. Lots and lots of stairs and carrying around. But manageable.

Went to the bottom of Poland and made it out to tell the tale. Peter was an excellent guide. You can lick the walls if you want, but licking the floors is not recommended. Haven’t been mopped in 500 years. Don’t worry there are a few toilety around if you gotta wizz. Would add photos but ya’ll got it covered.

A must visit if you are visiting Krakow
Can only visit with a guide takes around 2 hours underground
Be away if you struggle with steps you have to walk down the staircase of the mine shaft.
Therefore ask for assistance or make an enquiry if you have a disability

A great experience well worth the price. A 2h adventure that offers an educational look into the salt mines and it's history. I would definitely suggest that although paths are flat and accessable comfortable footwear is recommended as there is a LOT of walking.
