Restauracja Kopalnia Smaku

This restaurant is really near to the 'Wieliczka Koplania Soli' (Wieliczka Salt mine) bus stop. You will have to look for it as it's entrance is hidden in an alley.

The food portion is really good and more than enough. Service was really quick with a smile on face which is really rare to see in Poland.

We tried Potato+Cheese Pierogi and burger. Both were amazingly good and Pierogi was surprisingly better when compared to known restaurants in Warsaw. Good drinks options. Both food and drinks are well priced for an affordable meal.

Kudos to the 2 girls who managed the place on their own during peak time. Never saw someone managing things so well..

Be careful when you try to find the restaurant! It is quite hidden. This is NOT the first one but you have to go behind and left downstairs (20m behind the worst place to eat!). Very kind service, speak English well, very good food and correct price. Many place, outdoor terrace, and the service is quite quick! A full recommended place but be sure to not make a mistake when you try to reach the place!

Delicious food, the ribs dish is huge and comes with perfectly pickled red cabbage. Loved the hot chocolate too!

I very strongly recommend this restaurant. I visited them during my vacation in Poland and after many disappointments with services it was for me big positive shock. Great food, amazing stuff and good prices.

Had a quick breakfast before going to salt mines. Quality is very good and I suggest that you try the hot chocolate and toast with eggs and spinach!

Excellent pierogi, vodka; and the service was v good. They spoke English so it was easy to order. Clean and comfortable atmosphere.

The food is amazing (we ordered polish soup, pork ribs, and beefsteak). The drinks are very well. Wine and Cosmo shots. Service is welcoming (unlike many experiences in Polish restaurants). Highly recommended!

I ate lunch at this restaurant while waiting for the guide tour Wieliczka salt mine. I ordered duck breast confit in orange sauce. The dish was delicious. It came with potato dumplings and baked apple. I highly recommend this place.

What a great surprise it was to find this place while waiting for the Salt Mine tour. Great food and excellent staff.

After a morning tour of Auschwitz and before heading to the short walk across the street to the Saltmines tour, we had a 1 and a half hour break for Food in this fantastic Restaurant. Serving a wide variety of food including Pizzas and most importantly, traditional Pierogi(Polish Dumplings) (A must when you visit poland👌🏻👍🏻). Great place to relax, eat and drink a few Craft beers.

We went there before visiting the Salt Mines for a quick lunch. The garden is looking nice, and even inside the restaurant is decent, nothing remarkable or traditional, a normal restaurant. What stood out for me was their burgers, was really tasty! And a big portion too including fries and tomatoes. Prices were ok and the menu had offers for all tastes. If you are looking for a place to eat in Wieliczka I may reccommend it

Very nice place, couple minutes by foot from Salt Mines. Portions was very big, yummy food. Ordered pasta and it came with so much meat and spinach that I was really suprised. Also tasted traditional pierogi, huge portion and good taste. Service was very good, waiters easily communicated in english.

Nice and cozy inner place. The Ribs are tasty and are soft but still juicy. There was not to less and neither too much food on the plate. Would reccomend it for shure

My apologies for posting a review of the neighbouring restaurant Kmita to this page. We did not see this one and we would happily have come here instead, since it looks a lot more inviting too! 5 stars for the friendly reply!

Review for Kmita: Like a trip back to the 80s. No payment by card, only cash. Grumpy service. Only positive: Cold beer.

Friendly staff, good position if need spend time before visit salt mine. Recommended!
