1000 years of life has left its mark. The current occupants are doing their best to renovate while maintaining the history.
There was some good things to see for free as you wandered the complex. The cafe was popular and there were separate book and gift shops.

Nice place with amazing views as on the attached photos.
It's a must see place if you visit in Tyniec.
Around this place you can find a lot of bike roads or paths to hiking.
Also next to the monastery you can find river and place where you can rest and eat something.

A wonderful place for a day trip from Kraków, and a very popular one too. It makes for a lovely bike ride, with dedicated paths all the way. Beautiful views from the monastery, cozy cafe with decent choice of coffee, tea, pastries.

Went here and visited the Abby. Spectacular views of the countryside. There's not much to see from the Abby itself besides the Cathedral, which is one of the oldest in Kraków.

Beautiful place, traditional Abbey on the top a hill, inside the fog in the morning, enlightened by the sun during the day and beautiful sunset views in the evening. You can visit the museum of the Abbey, take a break at the coffee place, visit saint Paul and Peter church, eat at the restaurant or buy some food souvenir from the little booth at the entrance. Or you may also stay at the hotel if you would to relax for longer times, a really good hotel.

Such a beautiful, tranquil place. Only about a $5-7 USD taxi ride from Krakow, using the Bolt or Free Now app. Definitely go! I only spent about 75 minutes there; wish I could have spent a bit longer though, sitting inside the church in silence, or enjoying the view of the river and surrounding foliage from the outdoor seating area. There's also the option of walking along the river and getting to see the abbey from a distance, which I didn't get to do. Maybe next time 🤙

A historical place with a picturesque view both from the abbey itself and from the Vistula River.

Amazing castle with outstanding nature view, plenty of restaurants available there. Easy to walk around river, also if any one want to capture outstanding castle photographs with cruise experience then boat ride also there having reasonable price. From Tyniec bus stop it’s 800-900 meters walking distance.

I've been 3 times, this is a truly magical experience. I had the privilege of hearing the chants sung by monks at the abbey during a mass, and was led on a tour by an enthusiastic guide who took the time to show us around and explain the history and purpose of the abbey. Both are fascinating stories.

The building is old and full of nooks and crannies, it has character and makes for great photographs. It was bitterly cold when I was there, so next time I go it will be during summer - but then it will most likely be crowded. (Update: This place is gorgeous during spring. See if you can visit the garden, which is incredibly lush and scenic).

Stop at the restaurant for a meal, they were first class. It's a little crypt under ground with massive walls and the best Polish food by far. The shop where the monks sell goods they make is filled with a great selection, I still have soaps from this trip in my bathroom.

It's well worth the short drive from Krakow, and you can spend at least half a day there, though I intend to stay overnight and attend a mass again.

I've really grown to love the character of Poland and the Polish people, this monastery is a highlight of any visit to the area.

Very worth visiting this Benedictine abbey about 8 miles out of Krakow. The Best way to get here is actually by bike, you'll have a great ride along the Vistula. Taxi costs about 35 zloty. No entry fee to the monastery itself. There is a cafe, shop, bookshop and even a restaurant here. Walk down to the river from the monastery and you'll find more food options and a boat that can take you back to Krakow for 60zloty, at 12:45.

This review is exclusively about the restaurant at the Abbey, nothing else.

Have you heard about how good food can be at monasteries and the like? Well, this restaurant honors this stereotype. The menu might have a lot of items but rest assured that the ones they offer are outstanding, filling, and very affordable. The one you see in the picture is called Gołąbki and it was one of the best dishes I tried during my trip to Poland. They have the one filled with mushrooms and one with meat. Both are delicious and highly recommend by my Polish friend. If you are in the area, please pay it a visit and enjoy some beautiful views from the Abbey.

The Benedictine monastery in Tynec is one of the most beautiful monasteries I have ever been to, right next to the monastery in Czestochowa :) There's a very nice courtyard. However, the most beautiful is definitely inside the monastery. I was here at the most beautiful mass in my life. Most of the chants - songs, were in Latin, only a small part was in Polish, and a Polish translation was included with Latin sentences. If you are nearby you should definitely check it out :) there are also a few information boards, so you can also find out something interesting ;)

Definitely a must-see place in Krakow. This 800-year-old monastery on the cliff, still inhabited by Benedictine monks, is situated on the side of the Vistula River. It boasts a beautiful church, a wonderful view, and a nice restaurant, cafe and a book store (nice Gregorian chant recordings there). Please check restaurant opening times before your visit. It's a good destination for any season. There are some sung services in Latin nice to hear.

A beautiful monastery perched on top of a hill with amazing views. There's a cool restaurant serving local beer and some good food. Also a tourist shop selling artesianal stuff.

What a great and wonderful place!
If you like peace and quiet, and you don't want to miss mass while you travell, stay here.

The room is clean and nice, bathroom is clean. It's good for solo travellers or for families. They have rooms for 1, 2 pax, 4 pax or more. The reception people are very friendly and speaks English.

There is mass and prayers at different hours everyday. There's also a chapel only for staying guests where you can have an alone time with God.

The breakfast and other meals here is excellent. Breakfast is included with your stay, but you have to tell the reception at breakfast time whether you want lunch and dinner. Breakfast time is also the time they showcase all the products of the monastery lile bread, jams, hams, pâté, and other spreads.

If you'd like to bring some of the things you have tasted home, you can buy those products at the shops. There are 2 shops, the bigger one near the reception and a smaller one near the gate. There is also a restaurant and a café. If you are staying in the monastery, I suggest eat the meals prepared by the monastery instead of the restaurant, it's better and cheaper. The café and restaurant are to cater for people who come here for day trip and to shop the monastery products.

I definitely recommend this for those who don't need to rush. It's about 30 mins from the city, and you need to walk about 15 mins to the nearest bus stop. Bus is available frequent enough, you can ask the front desk for bus schedule.

There are also nice walks around the area or boat ride that is just below the monastery.
