I can’t imagine a better location from which to explore Kraków’s Old Town — the hotel is situated right on Market Square. The well-appointed, cozy rooms have a sophisticated, old world feel. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Most sights and attractions are within a 20 minute walk, most of them much less than that. An absolutely perfect place to hang your hat in Krakow.

I’ll start with what was the reasoning we went for this hotel: absolutely beautiful view of the Rynek Główny (Main Square). My girlfriend and I reserved the Presidential Suite (one step lower than the most expensive they had I think) and it was located on the 4th floor, Room 401. At first I was underwhelmed by the size of the window before realizing that it allowed us to spend nights looking out at the square together in privacy as nobody ever noticed us, even when we waved out the window. The view and window alone were worth the price. I mean it when I say I spent HOURS looking out over the 4 nights we stayed.

We had more room than we knew what to do with in the rest of the suite. The bathroom (not pictured, unfortunately) has one of those hot-tub looking bathtubs with a shower head attachment which made for nice baths or showers if we were trying to be quick. Plenty of towels, soaps, TP, everything. All replaced daily.

Room service by a team of maids everyday if we wanted it, and they replaced any water, tea, and drinks we had. I am not sure how the mini bar thing works as we assumed everything in the fridge was complimentary given the price of the room. But we were told that the fridge was the “mini bar” and I was initially horrified that we went all out on the last two nights (we discovered the fridge kind of late, it doesn’t look like a fridge) and we would be charged a lot for what was consumed. I was only charged $1.28 at the end of our stay, however. It came out of the 1,000 Złoty deposit they require when checking in. Perhaps the misunderstanding was a fault of my own (my Polish isn’t perfect) but there was a slight lack of clarification about the mini bar. In my case $1.28 was nothing but I would have been upset had I been charged hundreds of Zloty because we consumed what we thought was free, since there was no way of telling what was and wasn’t complimentary.

All in all, if you’re staying in Kraków then this suite is absolutely worth the price. Ordinarily I’d knock a hotel down a star for lack of free breakfast, but honestly why would you want hotel breakfast when you are completely surrounded by incredible food options in Stare Miasto/Old Town. We didn’t make use of the restaurant either as again, too many food options around to stay at a hotel for meals.

The employees were all incredibly nice to us, we even noticed some stand up to say hello when we went downstairs to go out in the town. Brought all of our bags up, opened the door for us, and were generally helpful.

We will absolutely be coming again. If you have the money, room 401 is worth every Zloty.

I have not had the pleasure to stay in a room at the The Bonerowski Palace; HOWEVER, the Restaurant is AMAZING!

Alesk, a restaurant greeter (who speaks VERY good English) introduced me to their menu. This night I was looking for a steak. I took the recommendation from Alesk on which cut of meet and the waiters recommendation on which Merlot Wine would go nicely with the steak. BOTH ALESK and the waiter were SPOT ON! I have been traveling Poland for a month and had steaks at other hotels; but this steak, WAS AMAZING! IT WAS THE BEST STEAK I HAVE HAD SINCE BEENING IN POLAND! The Steak was cook perfect! Compliments to the chef(s)! I would categorize this steak as FORK TENDER! From the Service to the presentation to the first bite, it was heavenly! The wine paired perfectly.

Both these men presented themselves professionally, with a very strong understanding of the menu, selections of wines, and how to serve their guess. I was so impressed with the food and the service, I had dinner there the following night. Again, I was greeted by Alesk. I was so impressed with my dinning experience that previous night, I simply asked Alesk to order me a fish dinner (what ever he recommended) and a glass of wine. He sat me at a table and I was greeted by the server who confirmed my order. I was set for another night or remarkable food and service.

If you are in Krakow (Cracow) and miss the dining experience with Alesk and the staff at the Bonerowski Palace, you have missed the best part of Krakow!

Without exaggeration I can say that our stay, in May 2022, was perfect! The hotel is superbly located on the main square. Every member of staff that we interacted with was friendly, courteous and professional. The breakfasts were great! I thought we would miss one because of a 7am start for an Auschwitz/salt mines tour, but they very helpfully made up some packed lunches for us instead. The highlight for us was staying in the Bonerowski Suite (Suite 201). I think this must be the best hotel suite in Krakow! There is a balcony looking out onto the square where you can sit and take in the atmosphere of the place - day or night. The grand piano is badly out of tune, but didn’t matter to me because I can’t play the piano! Highly recommended!

Didn't stay in this hotel but went to its restaurant for steak tartare. The concierge (Michael/Michal) was extremely hospitable, knowledgeable and helpful. He showed me around the hotel, explained the history, the decors, the wall paintings and the war between Poland and Sweden a couple of centuries ago. The lady at reception was also friendly, and the hotel itself is beautiful of course.

Room lack power outlets to charge your devices. I also had wifi problems but other phones didn't. AC heating didn't work. Otherwise perfect hotel. Useful staff.

Amazing hotel right on the main square. We had a night in a luxury suite and it was beautifully decorated with nice furniture and a big bed. We also had breakfast there which was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful hotel with expansive history and the best view you can get of the Rynek. Despite the age of the building there is nothing neglected or run down about this place at all, rooms and bathrooms are sparkling while still classical in décor. Customer service and food were fantastic.

Awesome place! Right off the square which means easy access to the food, drinks, shopping... The rooms were spacious. The tub was large enough for me to slouch in, and still have room to spare. Add a shower to the bathroom too. The sitting room easily accommodated 30 people. Would definitely stay here again.
