We had a great stay at the museum of modern art in Krakow. The collection is quite broad and has a focus on contemporary artists from Poland and nearby countries. The exhibition spans installations, paintings and video art. The display rooms are very big and allow you to see the artifacts from a distance. The museum shop is quite small and focuses on books. The museum has a small cafe where you can enjoy a small snack meal.

My favourite museum in Krakow. The museum is very big, there are a lot of things to see. Every piece of art has its own unique meaning. I recommend spending more than one hour in there, so you can see everything. The ticket is cheap and it’s worth every penny.

Wow. Just wow. I’ve been to quite a few modern art museums all over the world and I think this is my favourite. It even tops London and NY for me. An amazing collection of art.

Terrific museum, unintelligible for most pieces of art unless you have some background, even if some hints come from the descriptions.
For me, the most touching sculpture was the one about depression, a human body melting into a dark unshaped spot.

A must-visit for contemporary art fans. Stunning building set behind Schlinder’s Factory. Well- curated permanent collection with frequent rotating exhibitions. Highly recommend.

This museum has beautiful art , paintings and it's history. I liked the ceramic art and the art inspired from ancient hieroglyphs. Many paintins are here weirdly unique. A must visit , to save up on your pocket , you may consider to go for Thursday as it is free day for this museum. Once there , you can buy a separate ticket for permanent exhibition which is far more interesting and doesn't cost much (10 zł)

Beautiful museum with really interesting exhibitions. I loved that every piece had a plaque detailing not only the artist's information, but more information and context on the individual pieces of art!

the best modern art museum in Cracow. Although lights are little bright, the exhibitions are interesting and well-put. I recommend booking 3+ hours of your time to see every piece without rush

This museums is a special one. It has maybe not so many super famous artworks as the MoMA or the Tate, but it holds very unique masterpieces from amazing contemporary artists. The exhibition You are mine from Jakub Julian Ziółkowski is stunning. I hope this museum becomes more famous and appreciated in the future!

I had high expectations for MOCAK given the generally very favourable reviews - and quite frankly, they were exceeded. It was one of the best collections of modern art I've seen; almost all the pieces were thought-provoking, especially those that formed part of their current exhibition about national identity. What I especially liked was the information about each piece, which is often a difficult balancing act - succinct, insightful and focused mostly on the artwork rather than giving a long background about the artist. Short enough to make it possible to see all the gallery has in 2 hours, but with enough detail to be informative. Definitely recommended.

Extensive and insightful collection of contemporary art. Permanent exhibition is free on Thursdays, and there is a discount for the temporary exhibits as well. Many different types of art mediums which are all thought-provoking in their own unique ways.

Around all the sadness and blood of the Krakow’s museums I found it! Modern art, after which you don’t want to vomit.
Cafe offers really delicious bagels and coffee♥
Staff very friendly, happy to tell about museum itself and exhibits.

For a small extra cost to the Oscar Schindler museum entrance fee you can go here too. It's actually a good way to relax after the intense experience of learning the horrors of WW2

Whenever I'm in Krakow, I always make time to go to MOCAK. It has a good collection of contemporary art and relevant temporal exhibitions. The building itself is beautiful and worth a visit. With a ticked I was offered a discount for a coffe at the in-doors cafe, however the staff was rather slow.

Fantastic museum with some really moving pieces. 100% worth visiting if in Krakow. The main exhibitions are free but it's worth paying the 7 Zloty to enter the temporary exhibitions as it adds a lot.
