Absolute gem of a restaurant. Stunning location and authentically furnished. The menu is extensive, with suckling pig one highlight amongst many. Service is excellent. Easily accessible from Ponte de Lima and thoroughly recommended as one of the best restaurants in the region

Cozinha Velha is a fabulous, hidden, little gem of a restaurant. The service was faultless, the food was gorgeous (one portion for 2, easily) and we helped ourselves to the local wine, which was divine. The only soundtrack you'll have will be the sound of chirping away, delightful for a lazy lunch surrounded by nature. The décor is also lovely too, very rustic. We had breaded rye octopus and stake aux champignons, with cod fish "pataniscas" as a starter. Suckling pig is the house speciality, which you can order in advance when you book your table. Finally, take the opportunity to go for an after lunch walk by the river, cross the Roman bridge and enjoy the quaint beauty of what is considered to be the oldest village in Portugal, dating back to the 12th century.

Perfect place to eat. Very good service and even better food. Not expensive and easy to find.

Pessoal agradável e acolhedor

Local extremamente agradável para um almoço na área externa em dia de temperaturas agradáveis. A área interna me pareceu muito boa também. A comida muito saborosa e o atendimento bastante cortês. Como o prato era muito bem servido, sobraram pedaços de porco e o garçom nos trouxe, ao final, em ótima embalagem de papel, com um pãozinho,sem ao menos termos solicitado. Detalhes que fazem a diferença.

OBRIGADOS!!! Só quero agradecer pelo imenço carinho que somos sempre recebidos. Sem duvida um dos meus restaurantes perferidos. Recomendo

Excelente leitão em Ponte de Lima!
Tem as coisas melhores que se podem encontrar num restaurante de leitões: assadura diária de várias unidades no tamanho certo, boas batatas fritas e salada para acompanhar, bons vinhos… e se houver sobras de leitão, estas vão para rissóis, que são vendidos em quantidade a muitos clientes.
Bom ambiente, fogão de sala aceso no frio de janeiro, muita simpatia do proprietário.
A recomendar.

Sem dúvidas o melhor leitão de Portugal, recomendo a experimentarem.
Sobremesas ótimas, mas a rabanada com bola de gelado é divinal 🤤.

Excelente restaurante regional, com uma zona exterior, sob um telheiro e uma zona interior bem arranjada e bem servida de vinhos expostos.
O bacalhau é soberbo, mas preferia que viesse acompanhado com a batata frita à inglesa, que tive que pedir.
Há leitão, que não experimentei, mas de bom corte e aspeto.
Serviço atento e sempre prestável.

El leitāo muy bueno, el mejor de la zona. Me gustaron mucho las peras borrachas, un postre sencillo pero al que ellos le dan un toque especial.

Adorei o espaço exterior devido à estação do ano! Na sala encontramos uma decoração de restaurante típico de gastronomia portuguesa onde o Cabrito é Rei e Senhor mas neste dia o Leitão foi soberano! Recomendo.
