Believe all the great reviews! Fernanda and her husband are wonderfully welcoming hosts. It was a dreary, rainy day until we arrived. Fernanda made appetizers and a great dinner. Everything was delicious and the wine flowed freely. A ‘must’ for Camino Portuguese pilgrims.

Last Sept (2022) my wife and I stayed at Casa da Fernanda and had the best experience of Caminho and of our month in Portugal. Food, fellow pilgrims, and especially Fernanda were wonderful. Don’t miss this!

I had an amazing time with Fernanda and his husband. They are lovely and kind to everyone. I felt part of their family for one night, not just a simple guest that needed a shower and a bed. I hope to see them again. If you have the occasion, please stop for the night there, cause it’s an experience that you’ll remember forever. Thank you so much Fernanda, I am so grateful I had the luck to stop at your house.

Words cannot even describe how amazing the time I spent here was. You can all read the raving reviews below but I personally would love to thank Fernanda and her husband for opening her doors and providing this experience in the Camino. This is not a Hostel or Albergie, no, you become a family member here for a half day. Fernanda is incredibly friendly and wholesome and treated us like family members. Food was also delicious and there's often a lot of nice people there. You should definitely stay a night here on your way, it's probably the most iconic place to sleep on the entire Camino português.

Really comfy beds - hardly woke up all night which is saying a lot for me!

Communal meal and great to chat and drink and eat with all pilgrims.

Highly recommend - It gets booked a few days in advance so best to reserve!

Where to start, it was such an highlight of our Camino and an unforgettable experience!

We phoned Fernanda in the morning as we were looking for a place to stay, she initially told us it was fully booked but that could arrange some shelter for us.

Once we got there she welcomed us in her house, showed us a little around and presented us the other pilgrims.

After a lovely shower and usual pilgrims chores, together with the others we enjoyed a fantastic dinner that Fernanda prepared for us.

Since me and my partner are vegan, we were worried we would’ve struggled with the food and we did not want to be fussy but she kindly reassured us it was not a problem.

And what a dinner! We had a very rich veggie soup, some of the softest and tastier potatoes I’ve ever had followed by rice, salads, bread, veggies and more veggies!

They also offered us some very good wines and Porto.

The best part of it all was the company, Fernanda and her husband Jacinto were the funniest and sweetest guests you could wish for.

We ended up the evening talking and singing along the other Pilgrims and getting to know each other.

In the morning we were welcomed with a very rich warm breakfast, I truly am really grateful for this day spent at Fernanda and the atmosphere she is able to create at her place is rare and precious.

PS - please make sure to book in advance if you wish to stay at her place, as beds are limited and trust me, you do not want to miss this!

Staying at Fernanda 's house was a unique experience. She and her husband are very welcoming and friendly people. We had very tasty homemade food and spent a wonderful evening full of laugh!!
I recommend her Alberque for sure!

A really special place to stay. You're made to feel right at home and treated with such care and warmth and generosity. Delicious wine, snacks, dinner and breakfast at an unbelievably reasonable price. Thank you!

If you are walking the Camino, THIS is the place to stay. Reservations is a must because Casa Fernanda is always full.
Fernanda has an aura that radiates genuine positivity. She and her husband are an amazing hostess/host. So much food and wine for dinner and all top notch delicioso!! Also breakfast included in the price. Suggested cost of 20 euros for the entire stay!! By far my favorite place to stay on the Camino, and this is my second Camino. Highly recommend. Fernanda does not have whatsapp, so if you are out of country, please shoot her a text, she will return your text (within a few days) if she has a bed available. If you need to cancel, please let her know, as she is good with her word, you should be too.

What a wonderful place! We were warmly welcomed by Fernanda and her husband Jacinto who prepared a gorgeous and generous meal, and shared such amazing stories with us. Casa Fernanda Albergue is like a little fairytale place along the camino! Thank you to both!

This is the truest and best experience of hospitality you’ll find in Santiago’s Way. Fernanda and Jacinto fill you with love and laughter and excellent home cooked food! We had the best time and can’t wait to return. If you can, stay there and share a unique loving experience!

I would do the Caminho again just to stay here one more time. Fernanda and her husband are so welcoming and kind. They invited us into their home and made us an incredible meal. We had nice conversations and drank lots of wine. The sleeping accommodations are comfortable and Fernanda makes sure you have enough blankets to keep plenty warm. The bathroom is also very clean and the shower has hot water. Such a nice stop on this long journey. Thanks so much for the hospitality! Kind people like this make this trip so much better.

Most delightful surprise of the Camino! Fernanda and her husband are the most gracious of hosts and they make sure you have an extraordinary experience there. The accommodations are excellent and very comfortable. The food was outstanding! We made lasting friendships during that stay! Like others, I give it 5 stars because that’s the limit; but I’d gladly give 10! I’d love to return!

This is a must stop along the caminho, if you don't go there you will miss one of the most magical place along the way. Fernanda is the greatest hospitalera ever, with her family. The food is great, the wine is great, the caring is great. I can't recommended Casa Fernanda enough, this place is Love

We read about Casa de Fernanda in our touristic guides and we decided to book in advance: during the Way we found out we had been very lucky to find place because everybody wants to go to Fernanda's!. We also met other peregrinos there, and the pleasant mood in which we were, contributed to make really nice friendship with everybody. A very good experience, go there if you have the chance!
