Herdade da Malhadinha Nova Country House & Spa

We stumbled across this property by accident while driving. We saw a sign that says wine tourism and decided to follow it. We ended up at an absolutely drop dead gorgeous property with a beautiful vineyard and restaurant attached. We had lunch before coming but wanted a few glasses of wine. The property was very accommodating and we sat on the patio where there was peacocks walking about. The property also grows much of their own produce! We can’t wait to actually book a stay here and get the full experience.

Herdade da Malhadinha Nova is an absolute gem as a wedding venue.
Located in Alentejo, is a big property surrounded by stunning views and with many great locations for the wedding ceremony and reception. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and all the ambience are very chill and relaxing.
As wedding photographers, we can attest that this venue is truly unique and will provide unforgettable memories for you and your guests. We totally recommend.

Most Memorable Experience Ever!

We recently had the privilege of spending two days and one night at this exquisite estate, and it left us enchanted. 
Photos simply do not capture the true essence of this place, and words fail to convey the profound emotions felt by the beauty of the property and its natural surroundings.
The estate itself is large, and even with a two-day stay, we couldn't explore every corner, though we certainly made the most of our time.
 Having visited numerous luxury properties around the world, Herdade Da Malhadinha Nova stands out on a whole different level. 

The villa was nothing short of exceptional, equipped with high-quality amenities, and every detail was well thought out. The panoramic views were simply breathtaking.
Dining at the restaurant was a delight, with incredibly fresh and high-quality food. The impressive quality of the wine, bread, olive oil, and other fresh ingredients, all sourced from the land itself, left a lasting impression.
We took part in a wine tour and tasting, a quad ride through the stunning landscape, and a horseback ride during sunset—all highly recommended and must-try experiences.
The staff's service was impeccable; everyone we encountered possessed extensive knowledge about the property and its products, making us feel truly special. The level of care and attention devoted to maintaining the property was evident, and it's clear that everyone works tirelessly to provide the best for their guests.

We spent a few days at this lovely vineyard and hotel for my sister's wedding. The location was absolutely beautiful and the staff were overwhelmingly helpful and kind. They made our stay relaxing and enjoyable, we got to try out some wonderful selections of wine and cheese and toured around their wine cellars. Our guides were very knowledgeable friendly, I definitely recommend touring the vineyard when you stay here! Thank you again for being so accommodating and kind! We will visit again!

Malhadinha Nova is truly a magical place and embodies the slowed down nature of the culture of the Alentejo region of Portugal. We stayed in Casa das Pedras #4 for two nights in June 2022 and you could be outside on the patio or in the plunge pool and not see another soul for HOURS. Very romantic room, we should have stayed longer. We were there on a Sunday night when the restaurant is closed... and the staff has a "barbecue" which can only be described as HEAVEN ON EARTH. They have a beautiful buffet and a carving station, and live music! If you get cold as the sun sets, the staff has blankets on hand! They have thought of absolutely everything, and it was one of our favorite experiences of our entire honeymoon. We had a picnic lunch which was also amazing, and very thoughtfully done even though it is somewhat difficult to control the bugs when you have a picnic. The staff is outstanding and so accomodating. My husband and I were not eating indoors at this time because of the pandemic, and they graciously set up a table for us outside when we dined at the property's restaurant. The food and wine are delicious, and one of the cornerstones of the experience here. We will certainly be back, and we cannot wait to stay in Casa das Pedras again!

This is the place that worths writing a proper review. You have good hotels, fancy hotels, luxury hotels, friendly hotels. And then you have this. It’s unique! The stupendous environment, the super welcoming staff (owners included!), the outstanding service, the never ending activities, the super comfortable rooms. Absolutely amazing! It’s the kind of place that makes me feel very proud of being Portuguese! Congratulations to owners and staff!
You should visit it at least once in your life, but I am sure you’ll come back! ;)

Exceptional. Everything from the attentive and helpful support from the staff to make every moment pleasurable and special to the unbelievably delicious food and vino. We will definitively be back and would recommend you don’t walk but run to book your stay here soon too!

An absolute must visit. This is a very special place surrounded by hectares of beautiful landscape. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly and happy to help with every single need. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and spacious. Not to be missed.

Secluded winery in the middle of Mother Nature with a special attention to detail and quality, very good wines as far as we experienced. After 5 hrs drive we were not welcomed as well as we expected (the receptionist took a call and kept on talking as if we had not just arrived and we had to call the manager) but the general quality and the wonderful dinner service kind of made up. Breakfast buffet is as good as it gets but cannot say the same about lunch.

I travel a lot and always include a wine trip if I can. This was one of the best tours ever and I have never been welcomed with so much warmth and love. Elisa drove us around the property, explained everything and showed us the cellar and the wines, it was truly amazing! One great place to visit and the wines have always been among my favourites! Fabaolous! Jorge was our guide and did the tasting in a very poetical and music filled way. And the lunch was incredible as the service!

Known for its exclusive service, this winery and manor is a great place for relaxing and enjoying the most calming view. With spa, pool and many available activities, you're sure to be entertained, while the staff is warm and accomodating.

This is my all time favourite place to be. We have stayed 3 times now and could not recommend it more highly. Incredible food. Fabulous wine. Stunning location. All made better by Bruno and the amazing staff.

Herdade da Malhadinha Nova is a wine resort, luxury style. They have only 10 rooms, with a couple of suites included, and a permanent concierge for anything you might need. Their restaurant, directed by Michelin starred chef joachin koerper, and operated by the out of the box Chef Bruno Antunes, is a must taste In the Alentejo region. They use mainly their local products, own production. Ah.. And the wine.. Fabulous.. Genius.. Pairing it with food.. Wow!
