UPS Romania

EDIT FEB-2024: The folks at UPS have improved their delivery commitments considerably since I initially posted the review. I have had several deliveries since then and all were flawless.
Hope they keep it up!

These guys have a hard time delivering stuff as they claim.
I've had several deliveries where they had me hanging around like an idiot only to pop an update in the delivery tracker late in the day that they won't be showing up as advertised.
Ended up having to call them 3 days in a row to get my door-to-door delivery delivered.

A good delivery experience. After placing an order on Amazon, I wake up to a notification that my order was on hold (I apparently didnt complete the address correctly). I call them in the morning and the woman was very polite and quickly fixed the issue letting me know that the info was updated but the delivery might arrive the next day until the database registers the change. 4 hours later i get a phonecall from the delivery driver asking me if I am at the delivery address as the parcel could be delivered that day. It arrived without any issue and the courier was polite as well. A good experience and fast especially considering the error was on my part.

Helpful and polite staff, many thanks to Mr. Malin Chirila for his communication skills and kindness. The customs bureaucracy is crazy when receiving an order coming from outside the EU, exceeding 150 euros...I had bought 2 coats from an US online shop and they had a gift policy for orders exceeding a certain amount. After 2 weeks of (ordinary) formalities, endless mails and screenshots of the online order The Romanian Customs wanted me to justify why a small underwear article was free...

Beside the fact that I couldn t change the delivery address they as a team behave excellent. They communicate between Brasov (where the package arrived) and Buc (where it should have been) really fast, they informed me, they told me what to do and now I wait for the package which is on the way to me. Thank you for solving this!

Guys what's going on here is the telephone number is sending you to the center in Portugal, and there is a disconnect between the information that Portugal is giving from the Bucharest location. I just drove to the location and there was a lot of confusion about my packages due to the shipping address. The man working at the counter was genuinely trying to help me figure the mess out and was able to retreative some of my shipments. The rest should arrive on Monday. I am grateful for his efforts 🙏

Very helpful, fully engaged and committed to help with acquiring the necessary EORI number for me. Custom-cleared goods from Amazon took 2-weeks. Just the bureaucracy resulting from BREXIT for ex-Pats ordering goods exceeding €150 euros.
Cannot recommend them highly enough.
Full diligence, compliance and assistance to get this done for their Customers!

It seems to me that we have a mix bag when it comes to UPS Romania.If they could, some would like to give zero stars to the service received.On the other hand others like me, would like to give six stars.Google does not allow me to leave six stars so I will settle with the good old five stars for now.Few weeks ago I have received a very good customer service all round from Mr. Chirila Malin and his team colleags.Thank you very much for the nice experience I have received from you on this occasion.If I think about it I have never been let down by UPS Romania in the past.So dear ''man in brown'' please keep up with the good work.Kind regards, wishing you well.

I've used UPS to send my gopro back to Netherland because it was faulty, so I've packed up and gave the package on a Friday at 4pm and it arrived in Netherland on Monday the first thing in the morning. They did a great job, with no issues, thank you !

Fast and furios. Prompting and efficient.

I had such a great experience today with UPS... They were delivering something in my building and I had a 'only to the door' delivery from Nemo... It was a heavy table... The UPS driver saw me struggling with it at the door and quickly volunteered to help me get it in the elevator and all the way to my door. Thank you so much! It would have taken ages for me to carry alone. Amazing service and I didn't even call for it!

Entrance to client area is on the right side of the building as you enter the parking lot. You have to go around the left to get behind, then turn right again to reach the client area. Very friendly staff, got my huge package in 5 minutes total. No complaints.

I received my package as scheduled by amazon. The curier was really professional and nice. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service they offer compared with other companies.
